Champion Update: Singed

We’ve got a few relatively smaller champion updates coming out in the wake of Sion’s grand arrival. First up is Singed, who’s come tearing out of the Champion Update workshop with a new model, updated textures for all of his skins, and a few small gameplay tweaks.

Singed was an interesting project for us. While many older champions have to be rebuilt visually from the ground up, we discovered that Singed’s rig was actually still in good shape. He had unique and identifiable animations underneath his old pizza-feet-tastic model, meaning we could score a pretty easy win simply by updating his model and textures to today’s standards.

So we did, and while we had the Mad Chemist’s hood open, took the opportunity to tune up his gameplay, too. We haven’t made any significant changes, but added some quality of life tweaks in that incentivize Singed players to combo their abilities together and give a tad more late-game scaling to his ultimate.

You get a free Champion update that cost you nothing and you're like "no fuck that why didn't they do taric".

Riot is working on every single champion. If they toss champion updates left and right without the consideration of quality control, they'll release products that are subpar of their standards. Comparing the old singed model to the new one its way better.

Riot has their hands full with all the future champion releases(Azir took almost 2 years to perfect), and many other things so wait you'll get your free champion update that cost you nothing eventually.

Azir has been around for a long time. He was reworked and reworked and reworked. in the end i think they just put too much into him and felt they had to release SOMETHING.

Lol. I saved up for Azir as soon as Riot anounced him so I got him on day one of his release. There were so many bugs that I just overlooked so when the patch came out and they listed all of the crap that I overlooked, I was laughing so hard. I had no clue that they were bugs.

Patience my Warwick loving friend. Riot is actually trying to get many different champions looking better in time for the Summoner's Rift Update. And Warwick and Singed are similarly aged so maybe more old timers will get the big vu.

Singed is literally the oldest champion in the game. Riot has said before that he was the first champion designed.
