I started League August 2011 as my first (and only) MOBA. Part of the fascination I have had with League is watching the whole esports scene develop.Those early years tours of a team house- all I could think was 'man, these guys need a den mother to make sure they eat right'. I am glad to see that an infrastructure is developing to support the players- although there has also been an increase in players being interchangeable parts, they certainly aren't the ones running the show anymore. As for player longevity, I think Jatt should take into account not only decreased reflex speed, but repetitive use injury. I am (way) older than the average player and it didn't take long for right hand, tricep, and shoulder pain to limit my play time. I briefly spoke to Scarra about educating /helping players invest their earnings wisely- can pro players set up a SEP-IRA? Are they considered employees or private contractors or what?

I put this on at work, because it's Saturday, and all of my normal shows are on cooldown, so I thought, why not try it. I'm now 5 in a row deep, and I must say, I'm hard pressed to choose a favorite between hearing all of the insider tech talk with the QA/dev team, and the personal accounts from the professional players. The interviews with Scarra and Darshawn were eye opening; you always think of them as just "the pros," they never really seem human, in the same sense that it's hard to imagine Adele or Cam Newton being actual normal people, but hearing them talk about their experiences was awesome, it made them seem incredibly relatable.

This is a great series; I look forward to hearing more! Shout out to the host, you're doing an amazing job.

Very interesting interview. Gave many incites into what it took to be a esports player, time put in, psychological impact. I greatly enjoyed the podcast and am looking forward to more of them.

I think that Scarra is such a good role model for everyone, he played 16 hours a day just to get better and prove to the world that he was good. He never gave up at trying to be better and all of us should take example from him. :)

What I don't get is how you become a pro. Do you apply, are they all from challenger tier, or is there someone scouting all of us? Since esports is so new I have no idea how complex it is right now.

Hi, I just wanted to ask is there any kind of player behavior system cause I'm getting real sick of being forced to surrender when we're only 20 minutes into the game and we're tied (I've been forced to surrender the last three matches because my team), also a suggestion for a player report options; I'd like to see a reporting option called "wrong lane" for the players that didn't call a lane or called it late but still try to take the place of whoever called the lane or position first, my most recent match (forced to surrender by the way) I called bottom "bot" but spelled it wrong cause I was in a hurry I spelled it "boit" and I was the first to call bottom (adc was taken)because I spelled it wrong I had three teammates all say they called bot, at the start of this match me and the appointed adc had three other bottom champions and no jg, mid or top. please add this report option.
