put on the back burner of reworks for so long? And why is THIS season, the season of reworks? If you're gonna do a majority of reworks why not hold off on new champs that always seem to be OP to begin with, that you eventually take time to update and nerf 
, and just focus on reworking champs that need it and the community has been asking for? 
That way you could have more time to work on new champs in the future.
Fluss16 votesyorick was not put on back burner, they pretty much had to make a new champion with the same theme. There are many teams in rito working on stuff and it just might be harder to rework some rather than others. And people like new champs so if they don't start op then they get forgotten.
TheThomTanksWell5 votesAs IdaiNaHourouSha said, it is not a back-burner issue so much as a thematic one. While and kits are a bit out dated they still function and do what they should. As to ; she was already reworked and they continue to buff and nerf her to find that sweet spot. When I started she was not perma stealthed but one of her abilities gave her like a 2 minute stealth at 5th rank. Her passive stunned champs when she dealt damage to them from stealth. They nerfed that so she only slo0wed them, but then she saw virtually no play. Hence her first rework.
The reasoning behind WHEN these things get done is incredibly complex. The opinion and desires of the Summoner community is only one part. They work on these things long before they tell us. The problem is that some things are just way easier to rework then others. Also I am pretty sure that the team making new champs is separate from those reworking them. When they decide who to rework first they need to look at gameplay balance more than the whims of us summoners.
For instance: reworking

Healing from her own lifeforce already fit her story, and Starcall may be a small targeted area instead of an OP rain of death, but now it heals you. Now , how many ways can you think of to make a evil lifestealing "werewolf"(I know he is technically not a werewolf, but was transformed by so his outside matched his inside)? When his rework comes(and trust me it will), they need to let people still feel like they are this bad ass werewolf who is hard to kill.

Antasma2 votesI've been a Yorick main for quite a long time now, hit mastery level 7 and got to mid plat with the man.. him getting reworked is pretty bittersweet for me, but the new kit does look pretty amazing. I was a fan of the colored ghouls, can I ever expect a skin to return the Blue/Green/Red colorization of the ghouls at any time, like a Traditional Yorick?

TheThomTanksWell1 votesNo, they said they were not doing those anymore. Also Gangplank does not have one. He has Captain Gangplank which is similar to his original outfit but not a traditional skin. The stopped doing that because I think it caused too much strife with those who happened to own a champ before the rework and those who were stuck with whatever the new classic looked like.

TheThomTanksWell1 votesShe dies when she hits 0 hp and she decays when she moves away from Yorick, which I think is the balance. You have to follow her whims if you need her longer. Not sure the exact AI though, it says you cannot control her but then what does she do when there are no targets around? will she just wait or wander off? I am not on the PBE so I will have to ask a friend who is.

Theseus851 votesI would agree with XenomorphCobra that continually pushing out new champs though it creates a fun experience it completely makes older champs more and more useless. Every champion thats come out in the last year or so feels like its completely built on either lifesaving abilities, kalista, bard, tahm kench, Kindred, ekko even reworked flora, or super high mobility, tahm kench, ryze rework, kled, Aurelion sol, taliyah creating gameplay for many champions unplayable or at least unfavorable. I feel that they should hold off on new champs for a while and rework champions to be able to exist in this new fast pace mobile meta they are forcing than just keep making new champs. Also from a competitive side eventually if they continue to make champions the ability to create a real sporting environment will eventually be lost. There will be way to many variables and it won't be about your ability to play the game much longer. The time needed to invest in champ pools will just become to significant. I am not saying we are there yet but add another 25 champs in the future and it will just become too much and either the old champs lacking reworks will be ignored and never played (which is already happening) or it will reduce the efficiency of the players to the point where you will see mechanical mistakes start becoming more and more apparent even in the pro scene.

Who is the Maiden of the Mist? Is she someone we know of from previous lore or from say Hecarim's lore or Mordekaiser's, etc ?
I know usually when a champion gets a rehaul, the skins are just changed to fit the champion (like it's still the same skin, but with the new models/the updated champion) But, will there be particle effects added? Will the ghouls look different (ex: and his minions) will the Maiden of the Mist?
Also, will there be a new Yorick skin coming out anytime soon? Maybe any ideas you guys had for him or anything? I really like Yorick, and it'd be cool to have an awesome particle changing/ghoul changing, etc skin (not that the other ones aren't ok)
Finally, will Yorick be relevant in the late game? Does he fall off? Does he dominant in the early game? Late ? And can you control the Maiden of the Mist (i'd assume not from the videos i've seen so far but just double checking.)
