Rotating game mode queue now live!

From the original clone-tastic One For All to the sand-strewn battlefield of Ascension, featured game modes provide unique spins on the classic League formula. It’s time to kick things off with the next game mode in the rotation: Ultra Rapid Fire is now live!

Looking for a rundown of Ultra Rapid Fire? We haven’t changed much since last time, so head over here to get caught up.

As in any rotating queue game mode, we’ve specially tuned Champion Mastery so you can earn points in the mode. You’ll also be able to earn keys for your wins and loot chests for your (or your premade’s) S-, S, and S+ games.

Ultra Rapid Fire is now available and lasts through the evening on Sunday (we’ll shut it down very early Monday morning--usually between 1:00 AM and 3:00 AM).

We’ll be trying out different things with the rotating game mode queue over the next few months, such as potentially turning it on longer depending on how popular it is, changing the mode cadence or what modes are available. We’re looking for your feedback as we go, so let us know. GLHF!

Riot's been putting the "turning it on longer depending on how popular it is" crap in these RGM News posts every week. I'd like to see statistics on what the most popular game mode is, and why no extensions have been issued yet. Thanks in advance.

I second this. Everybody I know that plays league talks about urf but never talks about wanting to play the other game modes. Except doom bots.

It's incredibly hard to create doom bots now that there are hundreds of thousands to millions of new lines of code. There are tens of new abilities in the game. This gives more potential but much more complexity. The game already has enough stuff running on it at once, each champion has their own passives, actives and abilities that themselves have hundreds of thousands of lines of code. All of that running, through your computer. Doom bots are just so much more, there is a much more complex structure to them. Back when the game was simpler, it was easier to create them. Basically re size models, add abilities and such. But now, much more work needs to go into each doom bot because the abilities have to work on that champion which is not the original champ of those abilities. So it's mostly a coding issue. If doom bots were made, it would be like coding a whole new champion, if not even more

How about ARURF (all random URF)? It eliminates the same champs being picked every game. To get around some people not having as large a champion pool (such as ARAM accounts, which would give an unfair advantage), they could use the combined champion pool of all people present.

Hey Riot, could you bring Black Market Brawlers back soon please? There are a lot of people that have been waiting for this gamemode to come into the rotation since it came out. Near the end of the post, it states something like this: We will keep this up for a few extra months if it does well. If this were permanent, you wouldn't be able to add the "extra" months.

Riot is trying to make me Sad

The 2 weekends I'm going to be able to play league it is dominion and legend of the poro king while the game modes in the weekends that I'm not able to play are urf and hexakill 2 of my favorite game modes I'm so Sad

I didnt get to play during the last urf either if anyone could somehow make it so that way i could play during an urf weekend they would be my item 3026
