Guys, the team is looking into this. Are you all by chance in Canada? We're trying to see if we can isolate the issues.

Censored SonaJan 13, 20156 votes

I believe the $35.00 CAD is not correct. Here it says 4200+400+400=5450. Now I'm no mathematician, but I'm like 17% sure that the correct answer is 5000.

3l Diabl0Jan 13, 20156 votes

So... is the Canada problem solved? where can I check that?

sigmasnakeJan 13, 20155 votes

Am I the only person who noticed this right away? For our Canadian players: "$35.00 CAD – 5450 RP (4200 + 400 standard bonus RP + 400 extra bonus RP)" 4200+400+400=5000 Copy and paste your american price $35.00 – 5450 RP (4550 + 450 standard bonus RP + 450 extra bonus RP) Do you not care about Canadians? :P

YezaHJan 13, 20153 votes

If I'm not wrong, last year we got the same amount as the Americans. Now we don't? I was planning on purchasing some RP but not when Americans get 1600 more for $100 than we do for $100. If it is because the price of the Canadian dollar that is just bogus PR crap.

"Extra Bonus RP applies to prepaid cards redeemed during the period."

OR, as the writer wrote,

"Extra Bonus RP applies to prepaid cards (the $10 card is worth 1460 RP and the $25 card is worth 3750 RP) redeemed during the period."

"Extra Bonus RP does not apply to mobile payment methods." Mobile payment methods? This is very vague, could it mean no cell-phones, tablets, laptops or even credit cards? Also, "There will be no refunds for RP purchases made prior to the announcement." Prior announcement? Where is this prior announcement? "There will be no refunds for RP purchases made prior to the announcement or the promotion." What is "the promotion"?

This announcement is confusing. I think that the prepaid cards given in parenthesis are examples, but, they are not the only prepaid cards that can be used for the extra bonus RP; reason being, there are examples above for $35.00, $50.00, $20.00, and so forth... If the two prepaid cards given in parenthesis are NOT examples BUT are the ONLY prepaid cards that can be used to receive extra bonus RP then this announcement is false advertisement, for, no where in the announcement does it say that these two prepaid cards are the only ones that can be used.

False Advertising is a crime.

KraaganJan 12, 20153 votes

Not precisely false advertising it seems; but the wording that was chosen doesn't seem to communicate exactly what they mean. Riot really should take a look at their PR department.

RiotDontHassleDaHoffJan 12, 201524 votes

The cards in parentheses are samples (the $25 card is not available in the client, but can be found in stores so we wanted to call it out) - in the future, are you hoping to see EVERYTHING listed out? Or is there another item you're referring to regarding "take a look at the PR department"?

CantpickusernameJan 12, 20153 votes

I'm sure he meant that he wanted everything listed out. Even if all the other card amounts are included for the bonus (Which i'm sure they are) every other person in this thread seems to be using the fact that only the $10 and $25 cards were mentioned and so therefore they are the only cards that get the bonus.

DızzyJan 13, 20154 votes

Is it fixed for Canada yet? I'm scared to put my $25 RP Card in :/

WormeJan 14, 20154 votes

Can we have a post when Canada cards are fixed? ):

VyperiorJan 12, 20153 votes

Guys please look up what PST means so you can understand why you're not getting your bonus. Thank you.

TheBeardedFoolJan 12, 201515 votes

" we’re giving extra bonus RP from now through 11:59 PM PST on January 18th."

That says NOW through the 18th. Also if you look at the previous post: http://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/news/store/sales/extra-bonus-rp-coming-limited-time-0 "Between January 12th and January 18th you’ll get extra RP on your purchases."

So you are the one who has misread. :P

SoryInAdvanceJan 12, 20151 votes

pst time means that it is 3 am pst at 12 am eastern time. these posts were all from about 6 am eastern time.

SerevasJan 12, 20158 votes

I think you have that backwards, at 3am EST it's 12am PST.

SteevebutabiJan 13, 20153 votes

I love how yesterday it was advertised that $35.00 Canadian would get you 5450 RP. However, now (after I already bought the RP yesterday) the page has been changed to $35.00 CAD gets you 5000 RP. Like seriously Riot?? Someone in the P.R. department screws up, then you put up false advertising to many of us in Canada? Consumers shouldn't be punished for your mistakes. This is the last time I buy RP.

ChaoticZ246Jan 12, 20152 votes

You guys are so silly....the prepaid cards the bonus only apply to $10 and $25....why are people buying $30 and $50 in prepaid cards and expect the bonus? Reading is such a powerful tool, prevents us from doing stupid things...try it sometimes.

MeisterPhunJan 12, 201514 votes

They did not say this ... It said it applies to prepaid card & showed the 2 cards & their value. It doesnt say only those 2 cards

Västäyan KingJan 12, 20151 votes

It might help if you guys read it before you go buying points. -"It’s a new year and as you’re getting ready for the new season, we know you’re looking to complete your lineup. To help you out, we’re giving extra bonus RP from now through 11:59 PM PST on January 18th."

RÿänJan 12, 201510 votes

"from now" maybe you should reread properly :).... i have a feeling you think "11:59 pm pst on january 18th" means the 12th, but sadly you are mistaken my good sir... read before you post.

rtbf50686346Jan 12, 20151 votes

OK, I rarely post on these threads, but today, I felt it was needed.

First of all, this promotion doesn't start until "11:59 PM PST on January 18th", and for those of you that jumped the gun and already purchase RP, "because of the advance notice, there will be no refunds for RP".

Secondly, for those of you who plan on redeeming prepaid cards for RP or by purchasing through a mobile platform, "Extra Bonus RP does not apply to mobile payment methods" and "Extra Bonus RP applies to prepaid cards (the $10 card is worth 1460 RP and the $25 card is worth 3750 RP) redeemed during the period", meaning that only $10 and $25 cards are redeemable for this promotion.

PLEASE, just read the thread before you make any hasty decisions!

SukishooJan 12, 201536 votes

No. You might want to read that a little bit better. It says the promotion ENDS on the 18th.

BilboSwagginsD1Jan 12, 20151 votes

Can anyone help me?!?!?!?! Does the more rp boost work for $50 cards?!?!? Cause it didn for me and I'm worried

RiotDontHassleDaHoffJan 12, 20155 votes

It should work for the $50 prepaid card. If you didn't get your RP in a few hours, please submit a player support ticket. The listing of the $10 and $25 cards are for reference (for example, there is no $25 option in the client, therefore we wanted to call it out).
