Extra bonus RP is here for a limited time!

It’s a new year and as you’re getting ready for the new season, we know you’re looking to complete your lineup. To help you out, we’re giving extra bonus RP from now through 11:59 PM PST on January 18th.

Here's a breakdown of how much RP you'll receive for purchases during this time:

$5.00 – 650 RP
$10.00 – 1460 RP (1300 + 80 standard bonus RP + 80 extra bonus RP)
$20.00 – 3000 RP (2600 + 200 standard bonus RP + 200 extra bonus RP)
$35.00 – 5450 RP (4550 + 450 standard bonus RP + 450 extra bonus RP)
$50.00 – 7900 RP (6500 + 700 standard bonus RP + 700 extra bonus RP)
$100.00 – 17000 RP (13000 + 2000 standard bonus RP + 2000 extra bonus RP)

Extra Bonus RP does not apply to mobile payment methods, and because of the advance notice, there will be no refunds for RP purchases made prior to the announcement or the promotion. Extra Bonus RP applies to prepaid cards (the $10 card is worth 1460 RP and the $25 card is worth 3750 RP) redeemed during the period.

For our Canadian players:

$5.00 CAD – 600 RP
$10.00 CAD – 1350 RP (1200 + 75 standard bonus RP + 75 extra bonus RP)
$20.00 CAD – 2750 RP (2400 + 175 standard bonus RP + 175 extra bonus RP)
$35.00 CAD – 5000 RP (4200 + 400 standard bonus RP + 400 extra bonus RP)
$50.00 CAD – 7300 RP (6000 + 650 standard bonus RP + 650 extra bonus RP)
$100.00 CAD – 15400 RP (12000 + 1700 standard bonus RP + 1700 extra bonus RP)

Extra Bonus RP does not apply to mobile payment methods, and because of the advance notice, there will be no refunds for RP purchases made prior to the announcement or the promotion. I believe the $35.00 CAD is not correct. Here it says 4200+400+400=5450. Now I'm no mathematician, but I'm like 17% sure that the correct answer is 5000.

Am I the only person who noticed this right away? For our Canadian players: "$35.00 CAD – 5450 RP (4200 + 400 standard bonus RP + 400 extra bonus RP)" 4200+400+400=5000 Copy and paste your american price $35.00 – 5450 RP (4550 + 450 standard bonus RP + 450 extra bonus RP) Do you not care about Canadians? :P

OR, as the writer wrote,

"Extra Bonus RP does not apply to mobile payment methods." Mobile payment methods? This is very vague, could it mean no cell-phones, tablets, laptops or even credit cards? Also, "There will be no refunds for RP purchases made prior to the announcement." Prior announcement? Where is this prior announcement? "There will be no refunds for RP purchases made prior to the announcement or the promotion." What is "the promotion"?

This announcement is confusing. I think that the prepaid cards given in parenthesis are examples, but, they are not the only prepaid cards that can be used for the extra bonus RP; reason being, there are examples above for $35.00, $50.00, $20.00, and so forth... If the two prepaid cards given in parenthesis are NOT examples BUT are the ONLY prepaid cards that can be used to receive extra bonus RP then this announcement is false advertisement, for, no where in the announcement does it say that these two prepaid cards are the only ones that can be used.

False Advertising is a crime.

I love how yesterday it was advertised that $35.00 Canadian would get you 5450 RP. However, now (after I already bought the RP yesterday) the page has been changed to $35.00 CAD gets you 5000 RP. Like seriously Riot?? Someone in the P.R. department screws up, then you put up false advertising to many of us in Canada? Consumers shouldn't be punished for your mistakes. This is the last time I buy RP.

You guys are so silly....the prepaid cards the bonus only apply to $10 and $25....why are people buying $30 and $50 in prepaid cards and expect the bonus? Reading is such a powerful tool, prevents us from doing stupid things...try it sometimes.

OK, I rarely post on these threads, but today, I felt it was needed.

First of all, this promotion doesn't start until "11:59 PM PST on January 18th", and for those of you that jumped the gun and already purchase RP, "because of the advance notice, there will be no refunds for RP".

Secondly, for those of you who plan on redeeming prepaid cards for RP or by purchasing through a mobile platform, "Extra Bonus RP does not apply to mobile payment methods" and "Extra Bonus RP applies to prepaid cards (the $10 card is worth 1460 RP and the $25 card is worth 3750 RP) redeemed during the period", meaning that only $10 and $25 cards are redeemable for this promotion.

PLEASE, just read the thread before you make any hasty decisions!
