Champion Mastery coming to live soon!

After an extended stay on PBE, we’re almost ready to roll Champion Mastery over to live’s normal, teambuilder, and ranked queues! Here’s a quick rundown of the changes we’ve made to the system since we debuted it on PBE:

Player tooltips - Player tooltips now indicate the sum of your champion mastery levels across all champions

Participating queues - Queues now have an icon that indicates whether or not they grant champion mastery points

Ceremony - Added sound effects to end-of-game champion mastery animations

Role ranks - Champions now gain new titles based on their primary roles as you gain mastery levels (Once he hits Champion Mastery level 3, Ziggs gains the title of "Invoker" based on his primary role as Mage, for example). These titles are displayed on-hover in your Profile and Champions tabs, as well as the end-of-game Champion Mastery results display.

I wish they'd make it so you'd have to have a certain number of champions mastered to be able to play ranked. Maybe not mastered all the way, maybe rank 6 or something. Just gives people time to learn a role and champion, and feel comfortable instead of just jumping into a match.

I know people who have smurfs may not like this idea, cause it means they'd have to play extra games in order to start ranking up... But i feel it might benefit the community more.

I just think that the loading screen should show the title, otherwise it doesn't have much of an intimidation effect. Which is scarier? playing Vs. a ziggs? or playing vs. "The Invoker" Ziggs?

I would be really nice to had some skins like in HotS where when you reach a certain level with a champion, you can buy a "master skin" wish prove to the other team that you're good with this champ..

Loving the possibility of Skin rewards! If you gonna grind might as well get some goodies along the way. This kinda shit keeps me coming back to this game. Keep it up Riot!

Can you gain mastery skill off of f2p champions of the week? Considering the fact that you don't own them?
