Alright, I'm going pretty off-topic with this but I'm really just confused. Am I the only one who doesn't understand what Riot was thinking with Yasuo? I mean we've all had a game or two against a Yasuo where we get mad and say he's super op and it's not fair. But the more I think about it the more I realize just how stupid he is as a champion. A passive that blocks all incoming damage for a while and is up against every 10-15 seconds, a passive that doubles... DOUBLES his crit chance (meaning he needs 2 items to get 100% crit chance...), practically unlimited dashes, a knockup every 5 seconds, a shield that blocks EVERY SINGLE THING, an ult that gives him 50% armor penetration... the more I think about his kit the more I realize he is an entirely unbalanced champ. Just really confused on what Riot was thinking with this guy. Trying to see it from their view and not really getting a grasp on it. Does Yasuo take skill to play? No, no he doesn't. That's a fact and if you don't agree than sorry but that's just the honest truth. Can very skilled players pull off crazy awesome plays with him? Yes, absolutely. But he doesn't take skill to be good at. I mean you have a shield to catch you when you mess up in lane... Yasuo has way too many advantages and virtually ZERO disadvantages. He's entirely not fair in the game and ruins the fun of it. Any answers as to what Riot was and is thinking with this sad excuse of a champ would be appreciated. Thanks guys! <3

Except his winrate isn't abnormally high... maybe because we've learned how to adapt when Riot tells us to lube up cuz they're going hard and dry. Part of me wonders if they just left the game alone for a while if people would begin to figure out how to play around champions' strengths and weaknesses like we have had to for champs like yas and tryn. Though I completely agree he's not balanced, at the same time, the way people play is part of what determines what needs to be balanced.

There are some champs that counter Yasuo. For example, there are champs with low cooldown poke spells that can be used to demolish Yasuo's shield while zoning him. Aside from that, I feel like Riot made his E so that he needs to walk BE CLOSE to a champion. His E was made so there isn't much space between his target and himself after cast, which means that he could be countered by champs that excel in close combat, preferably champions that boost their own AAs (ie Nasus, Poppy, Yorick). Yasuo has a special little spot as the MELEE CRITICAL ad champion, which is different from tryndamere due to his squishiness. Most of his abilities are close range, which means that ranged adcs would have been able to melt him before he reached them, such as the case with Sion. To make up for this, Riot made his E a dash\gap closer and they made each third successful Q a ranged knockup, which when connected with his ult, brings himself TO THEM. Each champion that Riot makes has a special role in the game, with their own strengths and weaknesses. tl;dr Yasuo's shield can get poked down with weaker attacks before getting actually hit. He can get easily traded if he underestimates his lane opponent when he Es.

Eh you're right but wrong at the same time. Problem with yasuo is one nerf makes him unusable and one buff makes him unbeatable. He is in what i call the "kassadin state". In season 3 kassadin was either over or undertuned until riot just went "**** it" and nerfed him to nothing and then started over with slight buffs till he was just okay. This could be a huge problem because the chakp takes months to recover and is only really used if there is no other option. Now yes I'm low elo but at least I know yasuo ISN'T completely OP. He does have huge weaknesses and strengths, but if you think his wind wall blocks "everything", youre honestly new or dumb. It only blocks PROJECTILE based attacks (plus viktor laser, rito pls fix). If you play xerath, kayle, or cassiopeia, youll have little issue poking him through his wall, as those champs have 4 ranged skills with only 1 being able to be blocked. Second, he does have 1 disadvantage with crits: he deals 10% less dmg than other champs in exchange for the crit chance. (Also try playing with a randuins and watch him cry for bonus points) lastly he gets 50% BONUS armor penetration from his ult. Quite the difference there, as that doesnt factor the 50-100 base armor of a champ at all. Honestly, yes he's easy to play and a bit overtuned, but hes not screaming op and if you lose a lot to him you need to (ironic from me) get good. He's a low skill floor, high skill ceiling champion, making learning easy, mastering hard, while having direct flaws in his kit which are easy to abuse. Take advantage of these flaws (malphite mid with a randuins and tabis is HILARIOUS) and its gg.

I definitely think that Yasuo's kit is overloaded like some champs out there ahem (Ekko) but not sure if his OP cause of the winrates.

Honestly Yasuo is probably a bit stronger and easier to use than a lot of other champs but he can definitely be outplayed if you know what you're doing. Besides - there are other champions who are farrr more bs than yasuo - (cough cough - Leblanc)

Well the fact that Yasuo is one of the most played champions and has a relatively large win rate bugs me. I wouldn't mind if they nerfed him. He has gone about like this for some time now, but since the ADC patch, he has gotten a little out of hand. I mean seeing a Yas with 100% crits is annoying as heck(especially when he has absurd life steal). I encountered a full crit Yas the other day and it made me sick seeing how a champ like that could just do what he wants without anything holding him back. The only word running through my head after that match was "disgusting". So many people are taking advantage of him and I can't play a couple games a day without at least seeing a Yas. I think the time is nigh to nerf him.

I'm hoping that there will be a new overhaul for the assassins soon. We already have juggernauts and marksmen but I'm really interested to see how they handle mages and assassins. At least if they do end up doing it. I already see some synergy with items that work well for squishy characters but we will need to wait and see.

I like seeing changes but I wish they would have rolled these out over a longer period of time. League has so much to keep up with to begin with. You can't realllllllly be a casual gamer and expect to be great at League; which kinda sucks.

Honestly these complaints about yasuo are a little out of hand. Is not the champion that's broken, its the mechanincs the preseason has brought to him. His kit might be overloaded, yes, but it's always been about high risk, high reward.

I guess the problem with him NOW is that while his early game was kinda weak before he got a Statikk Shiv, now he just needs a Brawlers Glove, the Warlord's Bloodlust and Vampirism masteries to hurt at early levels.

Honestly, I would tell people to chill, the fact that RIOT doesn't adresses this every single "NERF YASUO AND TRYND, OMG" post is most likely they know how the community thinks and are working to balance things out when the preseason ends.

On the meantime, there ARE ways to counter most champs, even when they exist on their own hyper state, ways to comeback from a seemingly lost game, etc. I'd say, just keep commenting and posting about your experience with the preseason changes, it'll get to RIOT, no doubt, but be, before all things, patient, and respectful.

Rito has just finally lost it, things were reasonably acceptable at the end of the previous season and they just threw that all out the window with this post season. I've been playing since season 2 and i've never seen a worse post season, which leads me to believe rito's dev team had a conversation like "Welp its end of the season, we did decent job of keeping things not overly broken.... OK BREAK OUT THE TINFOIL HATS, LETS SCREW IT UP WORSE THEN BEFORE!"

Can a riot employee tell me why trailblazer was removed. I think it was a great item and was fun to use on jg champs that don't have good cc to camps likeFizz orKassadin (yes i do play Kassadin jg it op af especially with riftwalk and his slow ganks are op). Anyways i just don't see the purpose of trailblazer being removed. It was a good item. I mean riot has removed mana pots, which was a dumb idea considering that there are champs that rely on mana like Ryze . Veigar is a champ that uses a crap ton of mana and relies on his q to get stronger and if he is out of mana then he will have to constantly recall to get mana which is terrible considering hes leaving his lane alone. TBHVeigar doesn't need anymore counters. He already has a shit ton of counters. Zed Talon Fizz and much more. so trailblazer and mana pots shouldn't have been removed.
