Twisted Treeline Rewards Update

We want to give you an update on the Twisted Treeline commemoration rewards for those who spent more than 10, 50, and 100 games on the game mode before its retirement. We initially said that we would give out the rewards to all qualified players during patch 9.23, but unfortunately, the full grant will be delayed until the beginning of next year.

As you may already know, Twisted Treeline underwent a rework in 2012. That rework caused some discrepancies when we initially pulled the data of players that qualified for the rewards. We're now finding that some folks were passed over in the data pull and have yet to receive the rewards. We're working on a fix now to restore the pre-2012 player data and are eager to get you your rewards ASAP.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding! If you find yourself as one of those who did not receive the rewards, we ask that you wait until the early 2020 before reaching out to Player Support.

Better idea. Bring Twisted Treeline back, and let people get their 100 games. Here's the kicker, just like you're giving away free emotes for TFT, DO THAT FOR 3v3 mode and voila, you'll have a sudden influx of players, and growing playerbase. Rework the map, polish it up, promote it, rather than having 2 slots for TFT at all stars which killed viewership, having a dank 3v3 tournament. 3v3 had a ton of potential. That being said, what's up with the lacklustre rewards? The emote didn't even get any sort of effect or animation added to it.

For the other people in the player base that loved Twisted Treeline, I'm sorry. Twisted Treeline was my favourite map and Dominion was before that. Sometimes not everyone wants to play a 30 min game on Summoner's Rift.

So many others on the forums have already said this, but we now only have one map that lets you play the champion you want to play.

Quite frankly, I don't want to randomly pick a champion to create a team and have to idly watch them battle on a screen and I'm not sure I want to have a champion randomly given to me, throw my abilities out, and stand in one lane dodging a cluster of abilities in ARAM.

Just seems super sad to see them go. I'd honestly just want TT back with support from Riot instead of placing all your eggs in one basket with an idle game and now a newly announced single player game. Those aren't reasons why I fell in love with League of Legends right after beta on launch.

Would've been better if instead you had decided to just not let the map rot after promising it wouldn't suffer the same fate as dominion :) Don't think people are gonna just forget. You literally ignored the map, didn't update or balance it, and expect people to just not be unhappy when you rip it away?? Like really? I didn't even PLAY TT and I'm mad for the people that did.

I hate that I only have one mode where I can chose my champion. It makes me play significantly less.

I wish we had 2v2v2 map or 3v3v3 something new and spicy. I'm tired of SR and ARAM.

Hey Riot, I'm a veteran player who has been enjoying your game for about a little over 9 years now. I played more Twisted Treeline than 5's, and enjoyed that more. Just figured you'd like another opinion to tell you that even though you guys never updated TT, it was still very much loved. Thanks for reading.

Riot, I think it might be worth it to leave Twisted Treeline out of game options, but to leave it open for custom games. Assuming this is still viable.

i really loved TT kinda wish some champions wern't just so overpowered or just useless on the map, the rewards don't really help forgive the removal of it. reminds me of back when you guys removed dominion which i also played a lot of back then. especially when i wanted to go play a custom game with strangers. those were the days :/

Can we get a smite fight mode where smite does full damage to champions but the catch is that it is a skill shot?

Twisted Treeline needs to come back, we don't have any way of casually playing/testing out a new character anymore. It was nice to have a smaller map with less stress just to get a feel for the game. In Howling Abiss you can't choose your character but having multiple lanes with monsters is what warms you up for Summenors Rift.

Hopefully this means ill get the other two rewards; I KNOW i played at least 50+ games, and am almost positive i played well over 100, but i only got the 10 reward.

Might wanna take twisted treeline off the listed game modes on your own website. we know you dont want to work on anything related to this mode, but that might be worth it.
