rutalkin2me170 votesAs a Software Engineer, so many times I've been there when some manager-type forced the deployment of complex system changes (that the manager couldn't possibly understand) to meet some arbitrary deadline the manager had made to his boss. And I've been there working through the night and the next day to try to figure a way to fix the problem while the manager was only interested in predictions on when the problem would be fixed. Of course, the manager also had already reported that it would be fixed in what he figured to be a reasonable amount of time. Funny thing is, the manager sees his discussions on why it needs to get fixed faster as "motivating the troops" Meanwhile the actual result is the deployment poorly thought out bandaids with unintended consequences that destabilize the system even more.
Hang in there Riot Engineers! And please ignore these whiners, they can kick their dog for now, and when the system is back, they'll have plenty of time to blame their support for their bad play.

Riot's addicted to their revenue. It's painfully clear. They'll continue to focus on releasing new champions on a regular basis, and their support crews will continue to get shit for it. I saw this game summarized by a friend who got sick of League years ago like this, "Over a hundred character choices, same game every match."

Fazuzu21 votesAs a person who plays video games, I have seen plenty of disasters from rushed releases and agree with this man. In fact, plenty of rushed launches for new games as we all know have killed any chance of some games from ever being too successful to begin with. one of the games i recall this impacting most in recent years was age of conan. it was released without the promised pvp (the main reason I looked forward to it) basically not even in the game at all, and there was a mass exodus pretty early on and most of those players never came back. that game is now free to try, and one of the most nickle and dimed for it's content that I can think of out of mmorpgs. It never recovered obviously. This game doesn't face destruction as easily with it's high playerbase and having been around some years now, but it never hurts to wait a day or few or a week or 2 to make sure something works or is at least less broken when released. I should have known better than to complain about azir delays, look at how broken he was when released lol. this new champ apppears potentially broken in a different way though...
I can imagine normals being a pain for a while since it seems to match you against golds and often against 4 man or full on premade pubstompers... and I can imagine some of them building aorund this champ and practicing harder than they fap to it just to make my life on the rift a living hell.

If you have enough gamer friends who don't play you can use the Refer-A-Friend system. Once you hit 10 referred friends at Lvl. 10, you get your first amount, and it's enough to buy a 6300 IP champ or a fairly high-priced skin.
Jousis24 votesSo NA servers are down for an extra 8 hours of maintenance, with 6 of those saying "we only need 1 more hour." During those hours, as I was obsessively reloading client every 5 minutes, I noticed that the patch that released Kalista happened. Servers finally come back online about two hours ago, and the login server's anus was not prepared. I waited in queue for 54 minutes, when it tried to log in for 20 minutes before saying "connection error." I logged in again after a 30 minute queue, only to find that the store is broken and I can't buy Kalista. It says that I can fix the problem by logging out and logging back in.

The problems you are experiencing aren't even related to patch 4.20. If you finally got on, go to your profile, go to champions, search Kalista and buy her there. Boom. Done. Quit whining, have some patience.

In Mordekasier's lore, there's that old priest or something who gets killed by Mordekaiser. Why didn't that priest just call on Kalista to kill Mordekasier? He's an annoying champ anyways.
