Is anyone else still upset that Ultimate Skins will not go on a bigger sale than approx. 25%? I vaguely remember Udyr and Sona's being closer to 40 - 45% . . .
I feel if we are going to have to wait to get a sale on Ultimate's, we should get a bigger discount than a measly 25%, especially if the people who pay full price do so to get it at launch. The 4-6 months we have to wait for this new sale is not worth the reduction in 'sale' pricing.
Let's break it down: Before, people felt good about getting an Ultimate skin at launch, and felt they made a 'better decision' because of the great discount, so therefore they should have felt good about supporting Riot.
Now, the people that buy it at launch eventually feel bad, because, once the sale happens, they are no longer any better off than those who waited, and spent less money, without having any '1st edition tag' anywhere on their skin.
This could be fixed with a limited border, etc. for buying at launch
Second, the people that wait for this "early," one-time sale feel bad, because not only did they have to wait for 4-6 months watching others play the skin, but when they finally get that sale price, they're saving less than the price of one (now cheap-tier?) 975 skin.
This could be fixed by making the "early sale" a "real" sale -- closer to a 1320 RP discount -- especially because this tier of new skin is oh so common recently
Feel free to chime in, whether for or against. Also, I would love to hear if Rito is actually seeing that people no longer care to wait for -good- (~50% off) sale prices with this new plan.
