See prokaryotic cells be all like "fuck dat shit" and instead they divide by a process known as binary fission. Also, mitosis varies in organisms. For example, animal cells undergo an "open" mitosis, where the nuclear envelope breaks down before the chromosomes separate, whereas fungi undergo a "closed" mitosis, where chromosomes divide within an intact cell nucleus.

I bet you didn't know that about mitosis!
