Tips on getting a pentakill?

As the title says, I am looking for tips on how to get a pentakill. I have never gotten one, not even in bots games or even aram. Getting a penta has been a goal for me for a while, especially since most of my friends, and even my younger brother has gotten one. And whenever I'm really fed, I seem to get a quadra, but then either die or the other person escapes. As a top lane main with with significant experience in all other roles but support, what are some tips you guys have so I can finally achieve my goal, preferably on summoner rift?

Katarina

Literally the easiest champion to get a pentakill with on average.

Forgot about Fiora... a fed one can 1 v 5 with no problem.

Pentas with Katarina shouldn't even count.

2 Pentas on Teemo! Talk about a crack up. NO ONE expects Teemo and a Penta :)

I suspect you just need to bide your time. I didn't get my first penta for about a year.

Play Graves, collect pentas.

Fiddlesticks is penta capable with his AOE Ult, and his bouncy bouncy crows. He's one of my favorite mids right now - got a quadra in ranked the other day, my penta was denied by a Voli passive and his subsequent flash abandonment of his team. Ended up getting a triple a short time later, would've been a penta, but Amumu was weeping over them and ended up taking two kills for himself.

just play anyone that's high mobility and high damage or heavy AoE and you've got a pretty good shot at it, I've got like 25+ pentas under my belt in normal/ranked games. I've gotten like 12 of them with riven, and the rest were with nidalee and twitch, and surprisingly got one with urgot LOL

this is not a very good goal it is a selfish goal in a team game. but to answer your question it comes down to timing and the champions you have. I'v gotten over 20 penta kills since season 1 and i'll tell you the champions i used.

Kennen 4 Pentakills Katarina like 12 pentakills Yasuo 7 pentakills Kog'maw 2 pentakills Vayne 2 pentakills Lux 1 Pentakill Volibear 1 Pentakill

As you can see i have gotten pentakills with all types of people AOE singaltarget from range to melee. It doesn't matter who you use its about timing when to come in to clean up a mess.

Play champs that have resets, like Master Yi or Katarina. Also ADC's are more prone to getting pentas, especially Vayne MF and Graves.

I got 4 pentas last ranked season: Annie, Kat, Karthus and Sivir.

Doesn't matter which champion you choose!!!

Get fed
Get this later in the game.
If you don't get fed, go into teamfight.
Make sure you have your ult, unless it isn't a very op one.
Don't leave the 1v5, 2v5, 3v5, 4v5 or 5v5 even if you are close to death.
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE FARMED A LOT!!!!!!!!

Play high AoE damage or janitor style champs, like Kat, Master Yi, Yasuo, etc. Eventually, you're bound to get one.

Practise makes perfect.

Yup pretty much Master Yi and Kat should be your best bet imo. Vayne if you are practiced on her can work. Honestly, half the pentas I've gotten with Yi and Kat happened so fast that the announcer skips double triple etc and just straight up announces the penta lol. It is also really nice if your team sees you get the triple or quadra and then helps lock them down and gives you the last hit 8)
