Can shen be played anywhere other than top (I like flex picks in my champ pool, and does anyone have advice on learning shen (advice, guides you recommend, streamers or youtube channels that play shen games) if I add him to my pool? I like some of his skins and he seems not annoying w/ his voice over or anything, so I was thinking about it, but not sure how to play him or if he is really worth picking up for silver level ranked?
River Shen
In older patches you could have played shen mid, top, jungle, or support, but right he's not a shining star in any position. If you played a clone of yourself, the real you playing shen and the clone playing other champions, you would find shen outclassed in just about every aspect. Shen is simply a jack of all trades but master of none, which leaves him with little use other than as little more than a meat shield to a fed carry (which other champions perform better).
I play him jungle. His level 3 ganks are deadly, he's got lots of sustain, and when you hit 6 oh boy. The countergank king.
He can jungle, and on very rare occasions makes a fair mid pick. Shen is simply a suboptimal champion right now, so no matter where you pick him you will run into that issue. That said even suboptimal champions can do very, very well if you're willing to put the time in.
Jungle and support works.
Jungle, Strong sustain, relatively weak ganks, ect, Really no reason to play him unless you like him a lot.
