I have been playing for 4 months now and everyone seems dead set on only the support only placing wards. How important is it and why does everyone say that only the support should get wards
?

People should start upgrading their trinkets after level 9, they are now really cheap and significantly reduce the cool down and up the duration such that you can have three wards out at all times if you are using it every time it comes off cool down.
Definitely more than just the support should be warding. Who and how much varies; in non-coordinated play, YOU should be warding every game, no matter your position. Adc can probably get by just using an upgraded trinket.
Vision control matters a ton. if one team has absolute vision control, they'll almost always win.
There are a lot of assholes I meet that say: "It's the support's job to ward" and they NEVER placed their trinket. Don't be one of those people.
idk how u havent figured out by now after 4 months that buying wards is infinitely better than trinkets
God I hate it when people complain that there's only 4 wards on the map when I play support. I mean sightstone only gives 4 and I don't really have the money to buy who knows how more throughout the whole game. From supporting and through streams, I learned that buying wards no matter what role you play is important. When you're either top and mid, buying a pink and placing it in the river saves you from ganks. Here's a tip, if you have 100g left and you're not really rushing anything always buy a ward when you back.
because its support's job. I dotn care for the stupid saying everyone's job to buy it. it does not mean u don't do ur job. u have the gold for it. u have the slot for it.
