How to Deal with Toxic Players?

Basically, I'm a bronze jungle main who loves playing gragas. My win rate on him is around 64% and typically I do well. However for the first time in a while, this morning I had an awful game which started slow, and finished slow. It all started when the leona on my team leashed too hard and took half my exp, which led to a slow clear start with an earlier B than usual. For the next 15 minutes I farmed and ganked when i could and I was something like 0/0/2. The enemy jungle was 1/2/2. At this point the Cho gath on my team started calling me retarded and etc. Vayne soon joined in when i made a bad decision soon after to engage in a 1v2 (vayne was further behind than I had thought). Basically I was playing poorly and the verbal abuse coming from my team wasn't helping.

I've always had poor self esteem so stuff gets to me easier than it should.

anyways, I was wondering how you guys deal with toxic players from effecting your game? I tried to mute them but that makes communication so much harder, and i feel drastically lowers the chance of winning.
