there is actually a reason for it. if you are trying too hard, you tend to go on tilt and focus on mistakes too much. it's good to try to win, but caring too much is often the problem.

a good example of this is when there is a game you can't win and it ends in a loss, and the next game your a bit tilted because you put so much effort into it and it was a let down.

best thing to really do is continue to try, but don't think of it was life or death basically. if you don't care at all, then you might not be playing as well as you could be.
