How to counter Nasus?

Pantheon is a great choice.

You can get away with Flash/Ignite since you have a Teleport-like ultimate.

More importantly, Spear harass doesn't draw minion aggro like ranged auto attack harass, which won't make your wave push towards Nasus's tower. Just focus on last hitting, throw Spears at him when he walks too close, don't draw minion aggro or attempt to combo Nasus until he's down to ~40% hp or so (in the early stages, later he'll have armor and you'll have to harass him lower).

A Last Whisper rush might even be better than a Brut rush, since you KNOW he'll rush a Frozen Heart.

Early game Nasus has neither much damage nor defenses, use that to your advantage and kill him.

Be really agressive, but don't push the lane! Nasus can freefarm under his tower and is save from ganks.

Try to have minions at your tower and stay between minions and Nasus, so he cant farm. Or if the lane is pushed stay between your minions so that he has to push when he wants to hit you with spirit fire.

Roam roam roam. You can (and should) bully Nasus early on, but he will eventually get to a point where you cannot deal with him 1v1 anymore. Try not to push your lane so he is vulnerable to ganks, but if you do, he will try to freeze it under his tower (if he is a good Nasus) to maximize stacks. Instead of sitting overextended and watching him **Q **minions with the protection of his turret, pay a visit to mid and try to get a kill there. Make sure you know what is going on botlane and dragon, so you can and turn around a critical teamfight (he can't interrupt channels, and most Nasus players are greedy for stacks and will not follow you).

is rewarded for sitting in lane all game because he has infinitely scaling damage from CS, and as a result is also punished for leaving lane and helping his team before he has 700 or so stacks because he is missing out on stacks during the time he is away from top lane. That is the playstyle of that champ, not yours, you cannot stoop to his level and sit in lane all game and expect to keep up with him, that is exactly what he wants you to do, have you sit in lane with him all game while he outscales you and his team is off fighting a 4v4. The only champion in the game who can truly babysit Nasus in lane is , because he can take a shit on Nasus each time he tries to Q a minion and make sure Nasus's stacks stay pathetically low. If you aren't playing Darius, then you need to go around helping your team. I don't care what anyone says, fighting against Nasus is like fighting a 5v4 for most of the game, and if you help other lanes get snowballed then I guarantee they will repay the favor by coming to camp Nasus and help you take his turret or outright kill him in his own lane. That kind of map pressure denies Nasus safe stacks (which is why the stack count by 15 minutes is the true measure of how good a Nasus player is) and without stacks Nasus is literally just a tank with zero initiation and zero hard CC, AKA fucking worthless for his team.

I'm a main with hundreds of games on him. Haven't played ranked seriously in months but Nasus got my normals MMR up to mid-silver, and I am frequently matched up against golds and plats. And I can tell you, it doesn't matter what champion my opponent picks or even if they lose lane to me, if they successfully roam and help out their team while I am off selfishly harvesting minions, then they will eventually come back with multiple teammates to help them and win lane anyway. Nasus doesn't roam because he doesn't have any mobility so he rarely gets a good suprise during a gank, and his wither isn't taken seriously outside of 1v1's because people always just dash or flash away while he gets peeled off his target. Don't play the game that he does, remember that this is a team game and that you are 99% of the time playing a champ more useful to your team than he is to his team. Hell even has an AOE slow (btw Nasus counters Trynd so you should start roaming ASAP) and can get a few cheese resets and ace the enemy team, despite their reputation for selfish playstyles.

As someone who plays Fiora a lot, i've noticed that it is a fairly easy matchup in the early to mid stages because of her W. It Parries the attack which means that if nasus auto's you, you would take no damage. but instead it would reflect off and do damage to him. It is very useful for auto-attack based champions such as tryndamere, yasuo, aatrox etc.

I usually would beat nasus in lane as fiora. One thing you need to make sure of doing is to never leave lane for a long period of time to "roam". This will let nasus to be able to free-farm which is a bad idea. Always make him pay for his stacks.

During the late game I would not recommend you to 1v1 a nasus because with his items and damage you won'y sustain long enough when he is finished farming.

This is my way to beat a nasus in lane and to not get stomped. Hope it helps! :D

Honestly OP, Just play Tryn vs Susan. You start E and make sure to hit lvl 2 with some fury and dive him. A LOT. the end.

You either need to play a champion that has better sustain than Nasus and constantly trade with him or you need to play a champion that can poke him anytime he goes to Q a minion. The goal with Nasus is just to distract him from farming as much as possible. If you play passive you will get crushed. Also, make sure to ask for ganks if he pushes the lane to your side of the map.

One good tactic I've learned is if I have a lot of trouble against a particular champion I will start playing that champion and see what people do to counter me.

Teemo is able to rek him by the simple fact that he is ranged, don't know what you are doing wrong but you are obviously doing something wrong Maybe try to poke alot and stay out of his reach?

I've actually had a lot of success with J4 against Nasus. Tons of tops don't respect the amount of dmg J4 can doll out in early trades. Nasus tops especially become SO focused on only farming their Q. They get tunnel vision and open themselves up to free harass (this is why champs like Garen/Pant/Wukong also do well against him). You can just abuse your passive everytime one walks up to Q a minion. This will slowly take him down until you can drop him with an E-Q combo + auto and ignite.

Additionally, the armor pen your Q gives you will help counter that early FH/Iceborn Nasus WILL rush against you.

Wu Kong: Use your combo on him frequently and abuse him before he goes back rush a LW and some life steal once mid-game is here you better be far ahead or not fighting him anymore.
