Being flat out honest with you, if you enjoy bots..just keep playing bots. The community of LoL is that of CoD 13 year old kids level, if not worse.

I'd recommend trying to play with friends or at least one friend. Any type of mistake will send someone into a raging frenzy. Overtime you get use to it and you'll learn there's a mute button for a reason but yea, people in this game take it way too serious.

Just remember a few simple rules;

  1. Mute people that are toxic. Never respond negatively to them, and don't be rude yourself.
  2. Losing a Normal match doesn't hurt your rank or anything. Keep that in mind and just do your best.
  3. You can't always get your preferred role if you play anything outside Team Builder. You will have to accommodate others sometimes.
  4. Bring friends. It's always better that way.
  5. If PvP is getting on your nerves, just go back to bots for a while.

Best way to get over PvP anxiety is to just play a bunch of PvP! Play 10 games in a row to desensitize yourself, you will lose some games but that's fine, this is just a game after all. You have to make mistakes and be punished for your mistakes if you want to get better... Bots aren't going to punish your mistakes, so you won't improve much by playing against them.

Not to mention it's about a million times more satisfying to win against real people than against bots... Then when you get to level 30 you can start playing ranked which is a million times more satisfying than normals!

Anyways you've got a long road of league ahead of you, moving from bots to PvP is just the next step :)

Good luck friend!

Well, i went PVP when I was really early level...I failed hard, but I got back up on my feet and tried again and again. Every time I failed, I got stronger with my champion I always used. After so long, I finally won a well deserved match. So, don't be afraid to fail, just get back up and try again.

The best way to overcome fears is to dive right in. Don't worry about it too much. The community isn't as toxic as it's said to be, especially if you're just playing normal PvP. Also, Dominion/ARAM would be good as those game modes are super laid-back, despite being PvP.

Play Aram then upgrade to team builder then normals. I didn't have the same sort of fears since I came over from a different MOBA and had long been desensitized to ragers. Ranked though is my current bane. I can do okay in team builder but the competitive atmosphere of ranked throws me off my game.

you could always type in "/ignore all" then it'd be like playing with more intelligent bots!

Do what you feel happiest doing. Because that's what's more important!

But like everyone else said, if you want to do PvP, you can take things easy by playing ARAM or Team Builder. Team Builder means you can pick the role you want to play before the match and matchmaking sorts out the rest.

I was really scared to! What i did was i created a second account and when i hit level 5 i started playing pvp. The reason that helped is because your of course matched up with people around your level, and at level 5, everyones usually at the same mindset as you. When i played pvp on that level there was almost none of the critizisms and rude comments as when i play on my 15 and higher account because everyone is still learning! it has all the elements of a pvp game since it is one, yet people are understanding and wanting to learn with you.

If that isnt your thing I know that if your honest up front at the very start of the game that your new but your trying your hardest and your open to advice, allies are almost always extreamly understanding and helpful.

And of course always remember jerks will be jerks, expessally hidden behind a computer, and you probably wont ever play with them again!

Hope this helps!

If you want to play bots, then you go right ahead and do that. I too was terrified of PvP for a very long time; I now have over 3300 Co-op games under my belt.

By far the biggest hurdle to get over when starting PvP is the toxicity; if you make a mistake, someone is going to flame you for it. It's an unfortunate fact of the League of Legends community. If you're willing to endure that for a while, then dive right into PvP. You will win some. You will lose some. But no matter how bad it seems, you will improve over time.

If you'd like someone to play Co-op with, I'd happily do that for you. I'm willing to demonstrate any champion you'd like to see, and offer any advice I can to help you improve.
