Why can't I get better

No matter how hard I try or how much videos I watch I still suck at league. School (grade seven) is coming up and no matter what I can't get the champion I'm good at or I always can't save up for that ip. I rlly feel like quitting league as in playing a game a day or something. I dun want to drag me team don and I suck at Ireland and wukong even I like them and they take more skills within the champions I bought. Plz let me know what u guys think. This will rlly impact me and yeah. <3

Ireland is a hard champion to master, since you have to micro the Irish in order to use it effectively.

you are a bit young, and not to sound mean, but the game is fairly complicated and take a long time to actually get good at it. since you aren't even level 30 yet, you are still really new.

if you want to quit, it's up to you, but do it because you don't enjoy the game, not because you are bad at it. if you enjoy it, just keep focusing on your mistakes and keep practicing.

(Pretty sure you meant "Irelia" not Ireland) I'd honestly recommend just trying as many champions as you can either in a normal game or a co-op game and find one you really enjoy and are decent at. I remember suffering through playing tons of champs, (i was always kind of an iffy player) until I finally found a champ I was really good at when I first started. (I'm honestly just a Leblanc one-trick pony). Much like you, I started playing league when I was like in 8th grade, and I really wanted to quit because I was so bad. I stopped playing for a week or two, and instead watching LCS games (teams like Samsung White especially) and learned techniques and item builds/benefits of starting certain skills, etc. I'd also recommend watching streams like TheOddOne, or watching Phylol on Youtube, because they have great commentary and have a really good understanding of the game. Irelia isn't necessarily hard to learn, but she's hard to master. Wukong is a really easy champion for starters, but once again, he's a bit more difficult to master. There are so many little tricks to both these champions that take a lot of time to learn. If you like going top, I'd recommend trying out Cho'gath-- he's tanky and also does a great deal of damage (much like Irelia and Wukong). He's only 1350 ip, and can easily carry games. At the moment, Garen is free to play (though he's extremely cheap so most people would have him already) and he's fairly strong. He's naturally very tanky and his silence helps win many fights. Vladimir is arguably one of the easiest top laners. He's pretty tanky and becomes a lategame monster. Udyr and Tryndamere are the basic champs for carrying, though Udyr is usually played as a jungler. I'd also recommend Rengar (which is basically freelo in ranked). He's kind of pricey, so don't buy him unless you're sure you want him.

I found that playing the free champions in each week's rotation is a big benefit for me in finding the kind of champion I want to play. You have to determine what kind of champion is your play style before you can get better at League. The game is massive. You can't pick up every champion and not every situation is going to be the best for you. I saved all my IP until after I hit level 30, just playing the free champions while I leveled up. Using that time, I got better at last hitting and map awareness, while learning the skills from each of the champions. I found I liked playing the tank type champions like Braum, Shyvana, or Malphite, and I focused on how I could use those to better my skills. At level 30, I had all 3 of them and have used them with great effect because I know those champions very well and have runes to allow me to play each of those champions more effectively.

Work on learning the champions, work on how to position yourself during the laning phase to be safer, and work on keeping yourself alive. Sometimes running away from a fight that you are sure to lose is better than giving the enemy team the gold for your death. Staying alive and keeping up in experience with your team and the enemy's team is crucial to winning games. Learning when is a good time to initiate a fight takes time and sometimes just following in blindly isn't the best option. Given enough games, though, you will be able to start judging what is a good decision. Keep practicing. Even in games versus the AI, you can try out new champions, learn different skill combinations, or try out different item builds to see how you can best play.

Good luck in your climb.

Watching videos will actually do you very little good especially at the pro level or higher levels then your self. So I would avoid watching pro play games until you make it to ranked. Another thing to keep in mind is that champions that people use in higher level games and in organized teams do not work in solo queue (normal or ranked). Also pick a preferred role (top/jungle/mid/ADC[marksman]/Support). Then play champions in that area. Also look for builds for each champion that you play the recommended items and in a lot of cases wrong. If you have a smart phone or tablet download a app called LOL spy it should have a lot of information. If not search champion builds lol and there is a wealth of information and sites devoted to it (that is the benefit of a big community) and there will be information referring to positions.

You can also try new champions against computers but be wary and don't play too many against CPU's they can be bad habit forming.

You aren't even level 30 yet, you haven't finished learning the game. Looking up guides, or just watching some people play can help. It takes a long time to become "good" at the game and that means something different to everyone.

Right now you are one of the kids playing soccer in the summer cuz their mom signed them up. If you keep playing and getting better you can get to the point where you aren't terrible (that's like Silver) and if you keep working at it you can be the best out of your friends (that's like plat).

I tried putting it in an analogy you might get. The point is, even though you might feel like you have plateau'd and are struggling to get better, you know so little about the game it's not really possible to start looking at the little things.

You still need to figure out how to farm. How to stop walking under tower by accident. That dragon and Baron exist. That's the kind of stuff you should be working on right now, not to insult you, but those are things most people who play the game don't have an issue with. but, again, you are still learning the game so it's okay.

I would be willing to help you 1v1 a bit, but as of right now, I'm not able to play without getting 500 ping because of issues on my end for a few days. it getting harder is good because it means you face harder players. really look at how they play and try to imagine their attack range. watch their positioning. learn about minion aggro, harassing in lane, and anything else you can.
