Need a new "carry" jungle for playing with silver/bronze friends

Hello!

I really enjoy playing with my friends as a group of 4 or 5 and I need help finding the right jungler to play with them.
I'd like to start with saying that I suck at this game especially mechanically.
I want to play something that can "carry" but I am really bad at assassin mids or snowball champions in general.

I climbed from bronze to Plat last season playing lots of Malphite top and sona support. I think I climbed because I rarely lost lane, was positive, and had good game awareness with objectives and such.

But with my friends I think I can have the largest impact by jungling. I would like to find a jungle who can have an immediate impact in either ganking or counter jungling. It would also be nice to have this jungler be able to take a lead and build in a way where I can carry the game if needed, but also build to support my team if somebody else is doing well.

An example of what I mean is me playing J4 top. He has a very strong early laying phase and if I get ahead on him and build damage I can seriously hard carry. BUT if I don't get ahead I can also be tanky and very useful still.

I have had some success on Vi as of late but am unaware of how hard she can carry if need be. Thanks!

Olaf! Mops up lanes super well and no one knows how to deal with him because no one plays him.

JarvanIV Pantheon Vi XinZhao all have good early ganks and little issue farming the jungle. They can be built for high damage, bruiser, or tanky depending on how the game goes and what your team needs. None of them are really mechanically challenging. All 4 have pretty strong engages for team fights and they fit into just about any team comp.

Vi is a great one as you already said and while she might not "carry" some games, she can certainly set up the game to be won fairly easily. Her ability to lock down and kill a single target is really good for taking out priority targets, especially considering her ult is point and click (so if someone gets fed on their team you can basically turn the tables on them)

I'd definitely give those 4 in specific a try and see how they work out for you P:

I'm pretty sure XinZhao fits the bill. Good early ganks and strong bruiser in the late game with item 3718 item 3262 item 3143 item 3153 . I think he can outduel most junglers in throughout the game as well. And he's not difficult to play. I haven't played this game for too long though, so take it with a grain of salt.

Wukong is better than anything anyone has said here. Assuming you build him right.

Xin Zhao, Vi, Pantheon- all are good carry junglers. If you're in bronze/low silver and don't jungle much, Master Yi is an easy-to-learn champion who can be built as a hypercarry. However, his early-game is lacking in ganks compared to the others mentioned.

I know you said you're not great at assassins but all I have to say is Diana ........... Before level 6 she has really lackluster ganks, but once you hit level 6 you become very scary for the enemy team....... Especially in your ELO since not many people at that level know how to play against a Diana since she isn't regularly picked.

To be honest, if you are good at malphite already, just play him in the jungle.

He is very scary post 6

Vi, Lee Sin, and Shaco are among my favorite junglers

JarvanIV or Udyr Are pretty good and you can either build to support or carry pretty hard.

MrBuffington3/11/2015, 3:16:12 PM1 votes

Why not play J4 in jungle then, if you're playing him top lane?

Tetheà3/11/2015, 3:53:01 PM1 votes

I think I climbed because I rarely lost lane, was positive, and had good game awareness with objectives and such.

omg, can you teach me your secret? Because this is me every game and I've had about a 70% lose rate for a month now. I would say the majority of my games are throws as well >.>

Shaco

Yes, he's an assassin, but more strategy based than "spam all my spells now" based. I think that's what you're looking for. Watch some Shaclone videos on YouTube if you want strategy ideas.

MasterYi Obviously. Farm hard till 6, then gank lanes that are shoved, start murdering everyone. Not only can he murder almost anyone in the game if he plays it right, but if you drive them out of lane, you can also shove the wave and take towers really hard.

After the 5.5 patch is released tomorrow, play Nautilus. The tank junglers are going to make a real comeback, and ensuring that your team has a good tank and that you can protect your friends will make a huge impact on your games.

try malphite jungle. he sustains well with his passive, has anti-adc utility and his ult and Q are good for ganks

Beddlam3/12/2015, 2:55:29 AM1 votes

MonkeyKing is great and one of the most mechanically easy jungles to gank and team-fight with. There is a great youtube guide that gives a solid foundation on how to jungle with him (he can be a bit rough on the first clear if you don't know what you are doing.)
