Escaping silver help.

Better Jungler·7/26/2015, 2:04:32 AM·1 votes·312 views

Looking for all tips to get out of silver. I main jungle (diana udyr) and am a good support player as well. whats something you focused on while climbing out of silver? i have a very good attitude in game, and dont rage often, which seems to be something that holds alot of people back. I could get better at wards, though i run a yellow trinket, and smite wolves, and kill skuttles every chance i get. .. As cliche as it sounds, i rarely feel that its my fault we lose, and it often boils down to the enemy team just getting an early lead on my lanes and snowballing while my team rages.

Learn the basics of jungling, and you'll be in Gold easily. You're on the right track - you've identified warding as a weak point. Also look at minion waves in the lanes to see which lanes are pushing in which direction. If it's pushing in your direction, prepare a gank. If it's pushing in the enemy direction, consider giving your laner a ward if he doesn't have one. Alternatively, stick around for a counter-gank if you haven't seen the enemy jungler for a while.

Learn to take early dragons, too. If the enemy jungle is seen top, and the bot/mid lane are pushed in the enemy direction (no counter-gank opportunities) go ahead and solo the drag. Most non-obscure jungle champs can do it from ~level 5 onwards. An early dragon can completely change the course of the game - 6% bonus damage is no joke.

Your first step to climbing in ranked is to first realize that you are trying to climb, not ''escaping'' an elo. That way it will feel that you are going towards a goal instead of simply escaping a dire situation.

It might be a good idea to pick a jungler with strong early ganks. Udyr's ganks are rather sub-par (compared to many champions) and Diana can't reliably gank pre-6.

From what I remember of my (30) Silver games, most games tended to snowball heavily for one side or the other rather early. Picking a strong early ganker can let you snowball your lanes, demoralizing the enemy and potentially preventing your allies from feeding. If you get your allies far enough ahead, you should be able to win relatively easily.

If you want to stick to Diana, you might want to rush Zhonya's Hourglass after Runeglaive in many situations. This item allows you to initiate fights for your team and stall long enough for them to follow-up.

Taking a quick look at your match history, I can see that you rarely upgrade your trinket. At lower levels of play, I would suggest purchasing Greater Stealth Totem in most situations (Sweeper isn't as important since enemies don't frequently ward at that level). You can easily have three wards down at all time with the upgraded trinket, which provides a lot of vision for your team to arrange picks or avoid getting caught out.

I would pretty much always recommend upgrading it around level 9 or 10. 250G is pretty much nothing unless it prevents you from immediately completing a major item and it offers massive gold value. I can often get around 20-30 wards in a game with nothing but the trinket.

Learning to ward properly is one of the easiest things you can do to improve your gameplay. It's crucial and quite easy.

First realize that there is no elo hell. If you truly want to believe there is then realize that all of league is hell. Every division you touch is the same, ragers, afk, trolls, etc and overcoming these is the only way to progress. 2. pick up junglers that are early gankers or supports that make the plays. Jungler: zac, gragas, rek, lee, etc.. Supports: thresh, leo, nami...(if you trust your adc then go janna and pick up the new item before it is fixed) 3. its never a players fault why you lost, ever. People can easily win 4v5s if your good enough.
