Solo queue tips? + new champ recommendations? e.e

First post here..yayyy?

I've been playing MasterYi a lot recently(chances of winning were pretty much 70% if my games against lvl 30s aren't included(queued with a lvl 30 friend, lol)) I always call top, since it is what's best for me maybe even bot. When I play mid though, I think it's either the guy I'm laning against is comfortable with their champ, or I basically suck at mid, lol. Should I practice mid? Or stick to top/bot?

Anyway....I've about 6.7k IP atm, and tbh sometimes I pick champs judging by their art(like with Yi's sword, which looks awesome, especially on his Assassin skin) but I ask myself: How'd they be played? Will I even get to pick them next game? . For example, I've been thinking about getting Yasuo..but he's a popular champ, and his playstyle seems complicated, lol. Queuing solo has its ups and downs, I guess

Tbh, I kind of like champs that kind of rely on attack speed, it makes pushing lanes much easier for me, crit based champs are okay for me, as well.. Besides Yi, I play Tryndamere , Ryze , Jax and Tristana averagly(ish)

Er...well I dunno what else to add sooo... e.e

Diana Fiora

Yasuo is pretty reliant on knowing his mechanics. They are pretty simple in nature, but execution is the key so it's all on you to practice to get the most out of him. Diana was my first champion; she's a strong mid laner right now, and can even Jungle (not popular in top, but nothing preventing her from going there). Fiora is a pretty good top laner who gets a lot of attack speed, though mostly from her kit. She can run mid depending on the opponent.

You can watch replays or spectate people playing them to get a better feel before you make a decision. My favorite here is Diana though, and she's not difficult at all.

Hi Lluksonak!

As you level up, and begin your journey into ranked. Be prepared to not play MasterYi Top, and rarely if, Jungle. Top lane is usually associate to AP Bruisers/Tanks, like Maokai and Rumble, or AD Tanks like Sion, or fighters like Hecarim and Gnar. The reason for this is Yi, has poor dueling capabilities without items, and he provides 0 crowd control. Naturally the safest place for him would be in the jungle, and as a beginning player in lower elo, he would do O.K. But when you face the likes of RekSai, Gragas, Nunu and Sejuani. You will discover that Yi isnt all that strong, as again he lacks crowd control, or natural tankiness, or dueling ability without a massive gold/item advantage.

Honestly, If I were you, I would save up IP to get a variety of runes once you hit level 30. Feel free to look at things like solomid.net and probuilds.net so you can have a feel for champions, their build orders, rune and mastery setups.

As far as Yasuo. He is good in certain counter picking situations, but he isn't very safe to open pick into a blind mid lane. YMMV and of course, its your game, and youre free to choose whatever champion makes you happy to play. Yasuo may even be great as it will teach you how to position, cs, and team fight better. You should really try to wait for free week and try him out before you buy him! (And remember, be frugal with your IP for rune pages, they really do get expensive.)

Best of luck!
