ADC Tips and Tricks to Win Lane Easier?

So I see this in games with higher elo (currently Gold)

  • both bot lakers don't leash
  • take kruggs or gromp
  • doesn't get into lane till later

What's the purpose of doing this and how do you do this and make it effective for you during laning phase?

Should I start trying it in SoloQ / Gold Elo?

  • Well if you were to play ADC or Support you should help your Jungler if he/she starts at his/her Blue Buff or Gromp, although if your Jungler is Shaco then you don't need to help out with a leash since he can use his boxes, unless they want help. So if your Jungler starts out at Red Buff or Golems you don't need to leash If you're playing as a ADC or Support, because it will cost you much of your time getting back to Bot lane.
  • Most people would do those camps just for Experience and/or Gold to finish an Item, but I usually see this happening during somewhere around the Mid or Late game.
  • If you mean trying to damage the enemy and score a kill then it will probably be later because you kinda need to be a little safe until you get some items, unless you have an advantage over them, then I say go for it!

If your jungler is willing to start red/blue without a leash, then the strat is for the support to tank gromp/krugs while the ADC takes it (and claims all the exp). This allows the ADC to walk into lane already level 2 when everyone else in lane is still level 1. Depending on how fast you clear the camp and whether or not the jungler wants to toss you his smite, you can still clean up most of your wave and hit level 3 when everyone is still level 2. This early level advantage can give you easy lane dominance and maybe an early cheese kill if you play it right since you'll have access to an entire extra skill and level stats on your opponents for the first 3 levels. I wouldn't try it if you're not planning on making use of it (especially in SoloQ), since if you get nothing out of it if you play the lane relatively the same, the end gain/loss value is your jungler getting a subpar start in the jungle just so you can get 2 pots worth of gold.

If they're simply not leashing, and the jungler doesn't need one to avoid staying behind, then the idea is to get to lane before the enemy and rush level 2 so that you can commence the same cheese kill/lane dominance. The only difference is taking the camp guarantees you level 2 walking into lane unless the support takes exp, and even then you'll still have a slight exp boost to hit lvl 2 sooner as long as you dont miss too much of the wave.

help your jungler as much as you can. taking a camp or not giving a leash only gives you a slight advantage very early on but it actually doesnt make you any safer. helping your jungler alot actually DOES give him more safety and more power. having a strong jungler usually helps you win the game in some way, even if he doesnt gank your lane directly.

cheesing early kills on your lane opponents isnt a solid, reliable way to get an advantage every game tho, so its much more beneficial for the overall winrate to take that small but consistent advantage of helping your jungler.

if you play a janna, go and give him a second shield on his second camp too. your laner can handle taking 2 minions by himself. you get the point.
