Bronze Problems

Ally Jungle blitzcrank. 0/10. Ally Top lane urgot. 1/13. Enemy Support gangplank. 12/2

those were my last three games. Though i've risen from b5 to b2 in 3 days after i stopped playing for six months and decayed from s1 to b1 then played and dropped straight to b5 coz i was trash. Practiced, yada yada, anyways-

I've been playing normals and practicing and i still have a long way to go before I'm 'good' at this game. Right now I'm acceptable, but there are really terrible players in silver and bronze that make you go like... WTF????

So you tell them to maybe practice a little bit before playing ranked so they don't ruin it for others and they take it as a tremendous insult and either start feeding/raging/afking.

Never have i encountered a proactive feeder. Someone willing to get better. /rant

I have 800 games played total (normals and ranked), how many games do you think it takes, if I'm actively trying to get better, to reach, say, gold or plat level play?

I played 500 games to get from b5 to s5, I feel the struggle. For the record, I'm struggling in silver now

What happened for me is that everything "clicked." That is very cliche, and doesnt help much, but it is the easiest thing to describe what truly happened. Other thoughts ** 1. csing went from 70-80 at 15 min to about 120 ** 2. laning mechanics improved. The point is for you to have more kills and minions than your opponent out of laning phase. With that said, push hard when your opp. is out of lane, so that most of yours are taken by their turret. ** 3. ** Ward shit. Bronze players aren't completely stupid, they dont intentionally walk into fatal situations, but they will when they don't know that a fatal situation exists (such as a collapse by 3 fed enemies) Even if you are the only one on your team with all three wards placed, chances are your team has more wards on the map than their team does. 4. Midgame is when my playing falls off the most. #1, recognize what you suck at in game and improve it. #2. MAXIMIZE WHAT YOU DO MIDGAME. The reason I say this is because I could have 120 cs at 15 minutes and then 5 minutes later, have 127 cs. I did nothing but roam and look for low percentage kills those 5 minutes, and gained about 300 gold during that time. I could have gotten 40 more cs, and snowballed for my team, without the low percentage kills I thought I needed. 5. Late game is when bronze players struggle, mainly because of poor prioritizing and decision making. People need leaders, and no where is this more true than in League. Be aggressive, type in chat (without flaming). If YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO, say it. Get their attention.

If you do these things without fail, you are guaranteed to escape bronze. Add me (FyreNinja) if you want to duo, I'm currently Silver rn.

Good Luck and Have Fun!

(PS) NEVER, EVER, EVER flame. If you are, it is probably because that person did something wrong, and that same person will not be willing to take shit from a fellow bronze player. In his head, he thinks he should be diamond, and doesnt want to be told differently. Stay positive, never surrender until 2 inhibs are down (why purposely lose a ranked game) and stop playing when you begin to go on tilt.

GLHF!

No amount of games simply played can make you better if you aren't learning anything from them :) Try finding out what your weakness are, say asking someone of a higher elo to watch you or play with you, and try to fix them.

feeding isn't really a problem cause it's a per match basis thing, I can go 0-7, just as easily as I can go 7-0. You don't need to practice to play ranked, that's what elo is for.

Honestly, it really depends on how much effort you put into rising above the rest. You've got to carry your team to get out of elo hell, and I don't like to come out sounding negative, but if you want to move up in the ladder, you've got to stay in the mind-set that your team's simply not competent.

I started LoL about three months ago, and League being my first MOBA ever, I dedicated time to watching numerous streams/YouTube guides on how to improve my game, as well as taking into account every tip a better player gave me. Fortunately for me, by the time I joined League of Legends, I already had a group of silver/gold and platinum friends playing who were there to teach me the basics and guide me to be the player I am today.

I've played under 200 normal games, played my first two ranked placements games today, and had to carry both games. You need to feel comfortable in the champion you play, and confident you can carry with them against anybody. To put things in perspective, my team won matches, myself going 6/1/11 my first match, and 11/0/9 my second.

In short, I'm not saying I'm all that of an amazing player, probably high bronze/low silver at this point. But I know that if you duo queue with a friend in a higher elo, accept their tips/tricks, are prepared to altar your play-style and begin to once again play frequently, you'll move up the ladder smoothly to gold.

Best of luck!

I went 7/3 as Ezreal, while our Yasuo and Akali tried to 1v3/4/5 and repeatedly dived turrets to kill squishies when they didn't know where the rest of the team was. They were Gold, and I have a hidden elo of ~high Bronze or low Silver (haven't played a Ranked game since the Great DDoS Attack of '14). Our Yi got Baron, then Akali and Yasou went back to their lanes while Yi, Morg and I tried to push.

Honestly, winning games with Bronze players seems to be mostly luck with who you get matched with. I've played with some good Bronze Summoners, but there's a lot of bad ones, too. Not saying I'm perfect or anything, but Jesus, some people I've played with dived 3 champs under turrets and focused the tanks.

Stop worrying about your teammates. It distracts you from improving because, instead of looking back on what mistakes you made last game, you're focused on that dumb play your allied blitz made when he pulled amumu into your team.

Sure Blitz probably shouldn't be pulling in an amumu when he still has his ulti up, but I'm sure you're made plenty of mistakes too.

If you want to climb, the fist thing i suggest you do is not start arguments with your team. Swallow your pride and accept that mistakes are GOING to happen. I mean, these are real people you playing with,. Nobody is perfect, of course there will be mistakes. But the instant you point out those mistakes either

  1. The person gets mad. Starts Raging/Trolling/Feeding more/ect.

or

  1. They get emberassed and lose confidence, which makes them play even worse.

Good, positive attitudes win games.

There is no set number of games played because you still have to actually win them. There are peopel that play 50 games and make it to gold+ and then there are some who play 1000+ games to get to gold+. Its completely different for each person. Especially since some roles climb slower by average than others.

    • Cs doesn't matter too much it's all relative. Denying cs is probably more important that getting cs yourself (depending on champs you play).

2- Laning- depending on the champ you play, sometimes you rely on outscaling, other times you have to win early or be useless.

3- Wards are only useful if you plan to do something with the information they provide. As in, don't have vision for the sake of having vision, it alone is not useful at all.

4- Typically my games in mid game involve 3 people walking back n forth in mid trying to get a tower / force an engage, 1 person split pushing, 1 person in jungle.

CS is NOT important, If you're mid don't expect cs, you're being useful instead.

5- get ANY objective, but if you have to choose, pick baron always.

I think a big reason why the scores are so crazy in bronze (i'm not a bronze player so i can't say for certain), is actually because of all the smurfs. Like, if anyone of us were to make a new account and play with others about level 5 or so i'm 100 percent sure that 7 of the 10 players in that game would be smurfs lol
