Tips for not being useless late game as Thresh?
The title speaks for itself; I make plays early-game and carry my adc but we lose because I barely make an impact in the late game. Are there any specific builds to help me with this?

I don't play Thresh so I can't give you an in-depth answer, just positing that his lack of late-game scaling is why I personally don't play him.
Here you go though:
You pick off someone by hooking them, thus make the situation a 5vs4, peel for your ADC if they get in trouble and provide general utility.
Short answer is to land q, toss your lantern so someone o your team can follow then hit q again to drop on the hooked, flay, then box with R. Congrats the game is now 4v5. That is pretty much all there is too it if your team is an aggressive one. If you guys are on the defensive, then it's tougher and you need to work towards being able to go on the offensive.
Hooking a carry or knocking back an assassin or saving an out of position ally with your lantern doesn't become less effective over time. That's why Thresh is considered one of, if not the, best support picks. Just keep doing those 3 things.
For build get talisman of ascension, I know a lot of thresh players get the face of the mountain but honestly talisman is so much better in almost all situations. It allows you to make better engages by speeding up your team to catch people out or getting away from the enemy. In team fights play peel for your carries. Your damage is basically non existent so don't try to dive or focus the enemy caries cause it won't do anything. Instead focus all your attention of peeling for your back line. Put down the box to zone for them and use flay/hook to keep the enemy bruisers off and lantern to help re-position your carry.
Yes.
