Playing league with limited time

Ok, so basically I have a limited amount of screen time each day, having 30 minutes on weekdays and 45 on weekends. But lately, my parents have been upset about me staying on too long when a game goes over my time. Any suggestions on grinding to 30 quickly, and playing games that take less than 45 minutes so I don't get in trouble?

Bot games and inhouse customs are the only real way to avoid a game going over 30 minutes.

As Eiten Leigh said, aram or dominion are a good alternative if you want to play against other people.

If you need that human enemy interaction, ARAM or DOMINION. If you can live with just killing things for the heck of it, AI Bot games are quick. Especially if you have a jungle.

Grow a pair and tell them that going over by 15 minutes is not going to kill anyone, unless your name is Doogie Howser and are a prodigy doctor who saves lives and plays league on break. In all honesty, I respect you parents for setting up those rules, but at the same time they are absurd for the day and age we live in. We are a society of technology and have technology assimilated into every day life, so by placing that limit they limit you!

Play ARAM those matches usually last about 20-25 mins.

I would fist fight when my dad would try to tell me how to live my life. Still alive.

Reasonably explaining to them why you'd like more time is a much better way to go about it than "another 15 minutes won't end the world." Because they can always point out that minus thirty minutes won't really hurt anyone either...

Damn, getting good at League is a giant time commitment, 30 minutes a day isn't going to ever get you to even silver.

But then again your parents are probably doing the right thing so you don't end up like me lol.

counter offer: an hour every other day instead of 30 min a day

you really should find another game. Your going to get in a time crunch and end up getting reported and eventually banned.

Explain to them that you really enjoy playing League of Legends - you get to interact with other people and you enjoy the competition. However, because of the way the match runs (you may need to exlpain a little how the game works - there is no time limit, it depends on how quickly your team can achieve their objective), the matches can run short or run long. I mean a game can be over in 20 minutes but I've played games that are close to an hour.

And then, propose an alternative. Instead of the rule being "I can only play for 30/45 minutes", ask your parents if they will allow the rule to be "I can play one game of League of Legends."

Now on the weekend, you get 45 minutes, so you might say "Hey I can fit in 2 games if they go quick! We'll just stomp and force them to surrender at 20 minutes, two games in a row." but realistically, you can only fit one game into that time frame. If you try to start another game you'll just feel rushed and you probably won't enjoy it as much, and if you do have to disconnect because you're over the time, you'll just lose the round and may draw unwanted reports.

So instead you say, "May I play one game per day? This means that some days I might run a little longer. Maybe 40 - 50 minutes which is long for a weekday. But other days, I might get the whole game over in 20 minutes, but I can't play another game that day even on the weekends." So there is some give and take. Some days you won't get to play as long, others you may play longer, but each day you get a guaranteed one full length game. Thinking this out and presenting it to them will also make you sound more reasonable and show that you're giving this a mature thought.

Also, keep up on any of your chores or homework you have to do. LoL is fun but real life is more important; I know it doesn't feel like it now, but trust me. Plus, its a lot easier to make a deal with your parents if you can bring home a good report card or start the conversation with, "I've already done my chores" or something like that.

Good luck!

Bot games rarely pass 30 minutes.

ARAM, Dominion and 3v3 Classic are in more or less the same boat.

Especially Dominion games are capped in time by nature of the game mode itself.

Your parents only give you 30-45 minutes?????? Wow I feel mean but you have terrible parents XD. I reccomend anything that isn't normal map. Aram, Dominion or Twisted Treeline are good options for short games. Dominion has really really short games so you may get 2-4 games, Twisted treeline is usually about 10-20 minutes so you may have time for 2. Aram would be anywhere from 20-40 minute games so I'd say it's risky.

I feel your pain... Tip- Try to play pvp games if you can. When i was lower level, i played bot games, but i found that getting ip and lvls took forever. I also recommend dominion over aram because hey- its fast and fun! Finally, what you can do is get a friendlist of a couple guys u like to play with, and invite them for customs. If u have more than 6 real people iirc then you can still get ip/xp and have no penalty for dcing. Hope this helped! You can add me in game if u want someone to play with

Umm... I don't know how you can end a game quickly in League. It seems like your only independent factor in this choice in convincing your parents to increase your time. Sorry not much I can help with.
