How do I stop raging at the game?

I can't be aware 24/7 when I play the game about when I rage. Hell, it isn't fun for anyone in my skype calls to hear me scream like a cat about how that Amumu killed me with only a Rylais as a damage item. When I become aware of it I manage to keep myself shut, but this doesn't happen enough. How can I stop this? I always feel guilty in the end for making my friends put up with it, even though they are used to it.

At least I don't lash out on people when I rage.

When I'm not doing so hot in Ranked, I like to blow off steam by playing Blitzcrank in Normals. I basically just transfer my rage to some unlucky kid in a less stressful mode. That, or I just play ARAM or get off the game.

As for while you're playing, you could probably use press-to-talk instead of voice-activated in your Skype so you can talk shit to your screen and nobody hears it.

I do the same thing but none of my friends care cause they know even though I rage I don't give up. Some people chose to vent and others won't say anything but they are thinking the same thing. Then most of the time I change the subject and forget I was even raging. lol

I used to struggle with this a lot, and I've noticed that the first step you need to do is realize that bad games will be bad games. Figure out where your mistakes were, and try to improve on them. After that, let go of the game. The one reason I used to go on tilt was because I would carry my negative attitude from the last game to the next. This caused me to play worse and essentially only get more angry. Try to let go of past bad games and try harder to be more positive. Remember that no game at the start is unwinable.
