Gank bot if your laners are at least equally as healthy as their opponent, and if their bot lane is pushing. Even if it's warded you can probably make something happen.

But if those conditions aren't met I wouldn't gank bot.

Lane ganks kinda suck because you're ganking from the halfway mark. I mean, it can work if you have a lot of CC and it all lands. But it's way more likely to be successful if they're pushed all the way up.

In lower level play, first, Bot lane is more likely to be heavily warded then top or mid, and second, there is a considerably higher likelihood of dying. After all, if you're not well off during the gank, its very common for the 'ganked' team to simply kill you, and use your buffs to harm or even slay your allied bot lane.

Moreover, bot lane tends to have more kill potential at lower levels then other lanes. Leona+Tristana for instance, can, without much problem, detonate a singular other champion.

On top of this, often when bot lane is asking for a gank in my experience, its because they're a matchup that has little power to make plays. Let's say, Vayne and Soraka again Lucian and Thresh. They desparately want a gank to get back on their feet, but they're already so far behind they've little ability to assist a jungler and commonly a jungler walking into lane is probably seen ahead of time (The enemy support has free ability to ward) and their jungler is just itching to blow you up the moment you attempt to gank.

unless they are pushed to their tower don't gank bot...just go down put a ward...and watch for the gank and counter gank as needed. most of the time bot doesn't know how to set up the ganks. snow ball top and mid and only gank bot if they are A) getting ganked or B) need some help pushing a tower or C) are pushed to their tower and u can successfully gank.

What you do is if the enemy is bottom side: Go through enemy red buff tri brush while they are pushed all the way up. WAIT for teammates to engage, then follow up. ONLY ENGAGE IF THEY ARE RETREATING.

Enemy on top side: Pick maokai lee or vi. Then dive from enemy tri brush. Usually top side is trapped and can't do anything.

Bot can be a lot more about positioning right as you go in, and four out of five times the bush you'll use to get close is going to be warded. If you're playing blue side, wait to gank until they're pushing towards your turret and enter from the river behind them. If you're playing purple, wait until they're pushing for your turret and hug the upper wall to trap them between you and your bot laners. Try not to gank without your botlaners prepared for it as well, because if they aren't ready you've essentially put yourself in a 1v2 situation where their support can lock you down and the carry can take you out in the time it takes your laners to get to you or react accordingly.

I'm pretty sure if your bot laners start the fight and the other team is also committing to the fight rather than fleeing then you should be able to gank without worry bout stepping over a ward

also lane ganks when your laners push the wave and you come in through the lane, into a bush with no minion vision giving you away

idk, It pretty dependent on your bot laners, which is why I dont ever really gank bot they always be pinging for ganks without sweeping a ward for me not following up or doing much of anything like im gonna come in a win a 1 v 2

If bot is losing bad or clearly are not the type to coordinate with others, kill the enemy mid laner, so your mid laner can come with you.

Avoid doing it if they're not pushed up are your team isn't ahead enough to get away with tower-diving.

Good times to gank them are when you can outnumber them, bring along your mid-laner if you can.

Watch their levels and items closely, if your team is too far behind on XP and items, it would be better to leave them to their own devices and help out elsewhere if it's too risky.

Coming from a bot-lane main, you really shouldn't try to gank when someone's low on health, someone is missing, or we can't even survive under our own tower.

I tend to have trouble as well in solo queue ganking bot. Most times they are already arguing with each other so that doesn't help. Most times only one of the two will fight as the other isn't paying attention or both go in way too early so it gives it away and the enemy laners either kill them or just leave.

I've never been able to successfully gank bot as it just seems the two people instead of one makes the factors for failure that much higher and I never have that issue with mid or top.

Opportunities to Gank Bot:

1.) When your bot advances on the enemy team and then trick the enemy team to chase them, this is an opening for you to come in. 2.) When taking the lane route, you want to prepare ahead of time, possibly by staying the bush but asking your support or adc if the bush is warded. When the enemy team comes too close to the bush, CC them and kill them, (Let your adc or support bait the enemy team.) 3.) Teleport (Not the #1 for me) to any wards at the back line of bot lane, you might get the upper hand if your team can CC your enemy team.

What not to do:

If you bait your enemy for too long, they'll eventually think its too obvious and wont take the bait. The enemy player should be thinking "yes, we can kill them once we have ignite/exhaust/flash." That's the bait, but, if they aren't thinking that, chances are, you wont be pulling off that gank.

At least in Diamond this is what happens.
