Question with macros for attack move

How do I make the macro to just press A and it auto attacks the closest enemy?

I can't set it that way for some reason, it just makes me have to click who I want to auto like a normal auto attack.

There are two ways to set up attack move through the in-game key bindings window.

  1. You set it up so that you press A and then click (The one you found).

  2. You press A and it will auto immediately.

I use option 2 myself. To set it up, press ESC to open up the options window. Make sure you're on "Hotkeys" on the left side. In Hotkeys, scroll down until you see "Player Movement" and click that, it should open up a new section. The binding you're looking for is "Player Attack Move Click" which you will want to set to your A key. Remember to press "Okay" at the bottom of the options window to save your new settings and it should be working the way you want.

If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask :)

There's a smart cast key bind you can set instead if you'd like. I think it's just above or below the attack move bind in the key bindings menu. You can just replace that one with A instead.

So you're saying that if you try to attack move, it will make your character run to the location you clicked, and then attack afterwards?

This should only be happening if there were no hostile targets in range when you clicked attack move, and then they moved into range when you finished walking.

Would you be able to screenshot your "Player Movement" settings and post the picture here so I can see?

Ok, I know what your problem is.

You have "Player Attack Only Click" set to hotkey "A"

You need to have the one above titled "Player Attack Move Click" set to hotkey "A"

Give that a try and let me know if it worked.
