Recently just got to level 30 and I'm not sure whether to get into ranked or not I should just keep practicing for a while

If you're gonna do ranked promos, do it with a friend who knows what they're doing. It helps to duo! Also, if you're not confident, play some more normals until you're comfy on at least 2 champs for every role. The ranked season ends in November so I f you wanna try to get to gold, I'd suggest starting soon. Gl dude!

Do you meet the following requirements: A) have at least one go to champion in each role, with at least 3 good champions in 1 main role and at least 1 additional champion in all other roles (in case the go to its picked/banned)? B) have at bare minimum two compete rune pages, one ad and one ap, filled out with t3 runes? It would be better to have additional pages for each role (e.g. also a tank page, possibly a gold per 10 support page, etc...). C) know how to build each of your champions and which masteries to take on which situations (e.g. change defensive masteries between armour and mr based on your Lane opponent).

If so, and you're doing fine in normal Draft, then you should be fine to start ranked. Maybe watch your ward count and make sure you're warding regularly (will help a lot).

Ultimately, i didn't want to start ranked and wanted to get better first. No matter how much i won i always wanted to get better. What ultimately made me start was a game where the enemy jungler counter jungled me and completely wrecked me. After the game he asked my rank and he apologized for playing that way when i told him i hadn't done ranked yet. My thought was "really, are they that much better?" And "I'll only get better by playing it then" and so i went to ranked.

Oh, and btw, they aren't really any different from normals (except more serious). That guy just had a good game (and i had a bad one).

I think you should just go with it, since we're so close to the season ending (about two or three months). I would recommend getting really comfortable in two roles, and have at least two champions you are really comfortable with in those roles. Another tip would be unless you're some kind of mechanical god and go 20/0 every game, try to go for more consistent and defensive gameplay. It's much easier to capitalize on enemy mistakes than to try to make opportunities yourself. Lastly, if you duo with a friend, make sure it's someone good. The system automatically pits you against tougher opponents when you duo, so if your duo doesn't contribute anything extra, it just means you're going to meaninglessly be facing tougher opponents.

I personally didnt play ranked until almost a full season after I reached 30 I honestly think it was worth it every single season (for 3 seasons) I have started in silver. S3 ended Silver 2, S4 ended Gold 4, S5 currently Plat 5. In the end I played about 600 games more after I hit 30 before I played ranked and tbh if you are just hitting level 30 it is simply a fact that you probably don't have enough experience and knowledge to be as successful as players that have years of experience. This is just my view in the end you should base your decision on how you feel about it.

P.S. I believe duo queueing is generally worse than solo queue unless you are there is a large difference in MMR between you and your duo partner and you are the one on the lower end.

I suggest you give ranked a try now. It's awesome that you're practicing but you don't get better by not playing the actual deal (Ranked). You also don't learn the meaning of "sportsmanship" or "teamwork" as "intensely" as others do.

I honestly would just do it. Players in ranked make the exact same mistakes in normals, and it's a good learning experience overall. I only won 4 of my placement games and somehow placed silver, and if I could go back and do it over, I frankly wouldn't overthink it and just focus on having a good time.
