Looking for help with ADC's that don't have dashes

Many videos feature carries with built in escapes hopping walls or having the fall back option to dash out of things like a jarvin ult. How should carries without dashes react in these situations? I'm curious if carries without dashes play adc differently than carries that do, and if it can be made into an advantage

ADCs without dashes and escapes have to position much more traditionally along the outskirts of a fight, unlike a Kalista that can go balls to the wall and dash in and out of fights. If you're looking to learn ADC, it is much more beneficial to learn on an immobile one than one that forgives the crucial positioning mistakes. Just my 2 cents.

Usually the immobile ones have a range advantage. Ashe and Varus are both immobile and are tied as having the 2nd highest starting range in the game. Kog'maw and Jinx have abilities that extend their range and also have CC in their kit too. Miss Fortune can extend her range through her double up option and her passive allows her to weave in and out of the back lines with ease (granted she takes no hits). I guess Draven falls into being immobile until he gets his blood rush, but he is just sheer raw damage.

But as the person above me said, you want to skirt around the outside of a fight. You want to move in after the enemy has blown a lot of their abilities on one of your allies or farming. You have to be opportunistic rather than "out play" people. You have to be aware of people who like to charge the back lines and have a way to get yourself out. Place yourself next to an ally at all times in hopes that they aren't brain dead and know how to peel should you get charged. Make people regret charging you by harassing them back if at all possible or just run and escape using your CC to dissuade pursuers.

These ADCs tend to have longer range on their AAs, so you shouldn't be able to be caught out as easily as with champs with escapes. If you are, and you used Flash, and you aren't using anything like a Jinx or Cait to stun, and don't have something like a nearby Soraka or Braum support to stun, you are completely boned. But you probably shouldn't have been there in the first place if you got locked down so quickly.

I main Sivir, then Jinx, and Sivir between her spellshield and passive(furor basically), she has her ult to reposition. She is shorter range but these tools allow it to not be a major handicap and get out of those situations by 'walking' not dashing. Jinx is not my comfort pick, because you need to be even better at postioning because of her lack of reposition until someone has died, but she is a hyper-carry with the minigun execute, massive slow. I played a game as ashe the other day, and i realized how insane her DPS was. Then I realized how often i was positioned badly when lee killed me. So playing an immobile adc means you have more damage. Unless you're vayne, then youre just a cheater. It's about being in the right place because you cant quickly move. If you take this to all adcs you will be better, but with the play style change between sivir and ashe its easier said than done for me at least
