Musings on a different lane meta.

I've been thinking about shock horror outrage a different lane meta pitchforks raised (that i would only try in normals as a 5-man, i wont subject strangers to the potential failure of this idea)

Whoever 1v2s best as solo bot, just like in a lane swap but in bot lane. An ADC top: Vayne or Quinn most likely as they do well top. Annie supporting LeBlanc mid Some tanky-farm jungler

Annie and LB can 100-0 any mid laner from level 3 onwards, and if they both take ignite, any jungler. They automatically win this lane. Kill the mid opponent, push up, kill them under tower when they arrive back or zone them 100% away from CS.

Picked into the right matchups a toplane ADC can win lane. They will get massively increased jungle pressure since the enemy jungler's mid can't do anything and his bot is already winning, so they will need to play safe. Buying wards should make this lane possible.

The solo bot will lose, but hopefully not too hard. Someone like Sion can, as demonstrated in the LCS, maintain decent farm in a 1v2.

Because the outcome of all lanes is pretty much decided, your jungler is free to be a carry jungler, but ideally should be tanky as well so that you have a tank that isn't way behind. For this jungler I'd suggest Shyvana as someone who already gets Devourer and then builds tanky.

Thoughts? Pitchforks? Issues?

Really? Wow.

I used to do something similar.

It was a Veigar Leblanc bot lane (before nerfs) and the adc had no chance.

I will admit, I was simply copying SivHD and his "make sure ashe isn't allowed over 10CS" type of video. Obviously, having no adc can be a slight downfall though but I never did it in ranked so your version may be more viable.

Gnar actually works extremely well solo bot. I tend to run it whenever I have a tris or graves in my team... But hey, that's just me

The biggest risk to having a solo bot lane is it reduces your lane pressure on dragon.

That said, I've done similar comps before with mixed results. Definitely not something to try in Yolo Queue. Try to get a full 5 before going into game. And make sure the plan is perfectly clear, or you will get raging trolls.

so you're idea is basically duo mid? I'm not mad at that. support can easily roam to more than one lane, help the jungler with ganks... I like it.

Sounds kinda interesting

except that the reason adc's are with the support is because of leveling. A mage relies on levels far more then an adc, and while annie and lb are lv 3, the xerath they are facing is lv 5 and can clear the wave out from under his tower with 2 q's and a w
