Why am I bad at ranked and much better at normals?

I'm so confused. So, I recently played my placement matches and got placed in Bronze 1, were mmr is a average of 1k. Though I wouldn't say I do badly, my performance in ranked is way worse than my performance in normals. Now most of you guys will go like, "Oh, ranked mmr is always higher than normal." That's not the case for me. My normal mmr is 1.2k, I get matched with mid-high Silvers and occasionally Gold 5s (once in a while). Funny thing is, I'm way better in Normal games and every other game I get fed. But then comes ranked, where I do horrible in relativity, teamwork seems to exist in another universe, and my personal performance isn't that good. So is it my mentality that's making me suck in ranked? Because I don't see any other reason.

People try a lot harder in ranked.

Ranked and Normal MMR is different. Lolnexus your normal games, I'm Diamond and when I play normals I play with my school friends and play people that are like Silver. When I play normals by myself I rarely get games with people all my level

This is what i honstly think because this is what happened to me. Your under more pressure in ranked so your brain kinda struggles to cope as much as normal because ranked uh... ranks you up if you win

Think of ranked play less like climbing a ladder (where falling down a step is seen as failure, and climbing a step is success) Think of it more like playing with a yo-yo (going up and down, where the point is to have fun and enjoy what you are doing)

This doesn't mean try AD Annie or AP Vayne in ranked, but it means just play ranked. And don't expect to climb. Expect to win, and lose, and have your rank go up and down. Expect to dip in and out of tiers and divisions, and be prepared to fail and re enter and fail and re enter your promos several times.

Each time you lose or fail to win your promos with the ladder climbing mentality you view your progress as inadequate and this frustrates you. Climbing in ranked is such a slow and tedious process viewing with the ladder climbing mentality is gonna set you up for a world of irritation. See it as bouncing up and down, and as in yo-yoing the challenge is to maintain a balance between up and down. Once you can get into this mind set, every little mistake you make frustrates you less, and with more clarity you're able to understand the mistake you made and the things that led up to and caused it.

Generally speaking, every team has at least one person who is somewhat aware of how to close out a game with a lead in ranked. Seems like normals are just Moba team death match since everyone is just trying to learn and/or stomp other players with their champion. My avg ranked game ends around 30-35 mins. Norms even when a team is snowballing hard seem to take 40+
