Should mid laners leash?

I know it's kind of a dumb question but if on blue side and getting red buff, or purple getting blue if the adc/supp come to leash is there really a need for a mid laner to leash? And in this case I'm referring to AP mids, like Ahri, Syndra, and any other mid laner that does not have a lot of ad at level one. I just think that in Ahri's case to do some actual damage she would have to throw a q, then she could leave but having played as Ahri I hate coming to lane late and my opposing laner is level two by the time I get there and gets first blood on me. So leave your thoughts/suggestions (and yes I know I'm bronze please no hate).

Mid will miss CS if they sit and auto.

If enemy hits lv 2 before your own mid does, they can snowball the lane.

I main mid and I don't leash, but I guard the buff.

In my opinion, a leash from mid isn't needed. When I play with friends I will never leash as mid.

In SoloQ on the other hand, you should. Not because it's effective. But because some junglers get pissed if you don't and leashing being a "sign of good will". Just throw a max range Q at the buff and go to lane. You won't miss a minion 99% of the time. And your Jungler will be happy. : D

The jungler should always start on the duo side camp so theres no need for mid to leesh unless there trying to invade and thats a hole other ball game

Even a single auto attack helps without being late for lane. Even staying in the area Helps being ganked.

I do two autos if I'm a ranged mid.

Mid doesn't need to leash anymore. The jungler gets enough help from the adc and support. You WILL miss cs if you try to leash, and you WILL fall behind your enemy laner - it's not worth it.

no you shouldn´t, a good team will read were you come from and then know what your jungler´s up to from the get go. There´s just not a single jungler that requires a leash to get going in the jungle.

oh hey my mid doesn't wanna leash at all? sweet, I don't feel the need to gank mid... ever... and while you are in your base, ill be sure to grab that creep wave

Mid shouldn't leash.

1-3 creeps die within the time that they can cast even a spell, and just forget it if they can't do that because they'll miss out on the entire wave if they need to auto. If you're melee, it's a thousands time worse :/

No one HAS to leash, it's considered good etiquette to at least try in order to help the jungle out as it means they will be just a touch faster on their clear. If playing an AP mid, one auto or just throw one ability and book it to lane. If you don't think you can spare the mana, then just guard and make sure your team knows you may need a tent set up near your lane.

You MUST leash. The jungler might not even notice, but i'm the support and if you don't leash right we, the bot lane, will have to stay 1 more auto attack. might not seem a big deal but if you played bot enough you know you can either come in lane and soak the exp of the first melee minion or come in lane too late.

If the bot lane miss the first melee minion, they need 2 extra magi minion to reach level 2. But they can't do it, because the 2 opponents are now level 2 and engaging aggressively on them. If your a mid and your opponent quickly wave cleared with his spell, yes he'll reach level 2 but the minion wave is garanteed to go toward your toward quite fast. However on the bot lane, if the opponent last hit correctly, the minions might stay around the river for several waves. And that lag will likely reoccur at level 3-4 and 5. Each time 2 of your teamates get zoned for an extended amount of time.

In mid doe, if your opponent go nuts and waveclear your minions. This mean they are not there anymore to kill his first melee minion. All the cs and all the experience will still be there for you to get.

you don't need to stay there until the smite, but one AA and 1 skill is greatly appreciated. The effect you try to avoid for you just mirror on 2 other teamates on bot lane when you don't leash.

From a jungle/mid main, I don't care if mid leashes while I'm jungling, though I do leash when I am playing mid if I have a ranged ability (Zed Q, Talon W, Ahri Q, etc). If you're a mid laner like Fizz, I would not want you to leash for me, and I probably wouldn't leash for you.
