Objectives>Kills.

In a nutshell, always remember this. Kills make your score look good but they don't always win the game if the other team takes objectives as a result. At the end of the game, you only win by taking a major objective (Nexus) so keep it in your mind to focus on other objectives to get you closer to the main one.

This has been discussed several times and its become clear that objectives are far more important than just killing champs. In face the order of priority goes something like. (I might not have this exact)

Nexus - top, you win the game with this Baron - usually tips the game in your favor Nexus Turrets - Inhibitors - must be down to destroy nexus (if both nexus turrets are down but all inhibitors are up you can't damage the nexus) Inhibitor Turrets Dragon Inner Turrets Outer Turrets Red/Blue Buff Enemy Champs

The trick is to get your team on the same page and sometimes the priorities will change. If you have a dominant run early, you might skip Baron altogether and even skip one or two inhibitor turrets as you are pushing so well down one lane.

I can say in normal and I expect low ELO teams don't know priorities. I've seen teams be in a position to win with one strong push at the nexus turrets only to turn away to chase other objectives. In one case the team ended up losing after the other team was able to recover. In another game I was on a side that got both nexus turrets only to have the inhibitors respawn before we killed the nexus because we lost sight of objectives and recalled as the turrets were falling. The fight stalemated for quite a while after that.
