When should you gank?

I can't ever seem to find a good opportunity to gank. I'll usually just gank when every camp is clear or their laner is overextending a lot... And even there, I don't always do that. Plus, most of the time, my ganks aren't... Really good. I can't seem to even get their spells off... So yeah. What to do?

Ask your teammates to warn you about burnt flashes. Also gank from behind so they have less time to react. Watch your lvl as early ganks can be bad for you since lane gives more exp than the jungle. So if they are 3 lvls ahead it's prolly a bad idea, the onlyone who might burn summomers is you.

Also some junglers can only effectively gabk when their ults are up, like vi, jarvan, nocturne, rengar ect, not saying they cant gank, its just less effective if you have no ult.

Last but bot least you should always expect counter ganks, unlees you have seen the enemy jungler far away, they might be around and try to counter gank. Make sure you and your teamate have enough hp to stay safe if this happens. Sometimes the top laner may tp in the middle of your gabk trying to get an easy double or tripple so be careful.

couple of pointers:

  1. if your own laner is extended, there's a good chance the opposing jungler will gank the lank, so it might be a good idea to stay near the lane to countergank.

  2. if your laner is shoved into the opposing turret, you can sneak into the lane bush and gank when the lane minions reset in the middle of the lane.

  3. if there really are no gank opportunities, there's nothing wrong with just farming. many junglers scale very well or have level 6 power spikes, so it might be better to power farm to 6 than to force awkward ganks that often get you and your laners into trouble.

  4. ward the river for your lanes. if you can't gank, prevent the opposing jungler from ganking.

  5. know what kind of kill potential your laner brings. even if an opponent is extended, if neither you or your laner has CC or good damage or your laner has low mana and health, you might be better off farming than trying to help.

Try ganking from behind the enemy. Like, say if the enemy midlaner is in the middle of the lane trying to farm, if you think its safe, don't be afraid to go through the enemy jungle and gank from there. Attacking from behind raises the chance of a successful gank. The definition of a successful gank is either burning a flash or a getting kill.

From behind. When they're pushed up. When the enemy minion wave comes is ideal. (Except for specific champions like Amumu or Rammus who like coming in just after the minion wave)

Use warwick and gank mid if your laner has mana. If flash is used simply come back and repeat.
