git gud. ... lel jk just dont worry about it play norms till you are comfy on 3 champs in every role then go do ranked thats literally all you have to do. Last season i climbed bronze in a month to s5. This season it only took 4 days. It pays off to just mix the two- master some not just one but dont try to learn every op champ out there. Just 3 good picks in every role with an accecptable level of skill is all you need mate.
Just play. The more you play the better you get, you should be playing with that mentality.
Building your champion pool is really the best way of getting better. Each champion plays differently, but finding a niche that fits you and playing those champions is the only way to improve. I would say that starting out you should play a hard to kill champion like Maokai, Garen, or Malphite. These champions are easy mechanically and provide a lot of tools/itemization that let you stay alive into the game. They are all melee, so this requires you to learn a bit of the weaving in and out of minions to collect last hits, but you can take a little damage and regenerate it back up with either potions (or Garen has a ridiculous passive). Learn to play the tanky champions and then move onto the bruisers or even mages.
Champions like Irelia, Pantheon, or Hecarim provide a good amount of damage, but can still scale into the late game when they start building armor and magic resist. They become difficult to kill, but can still provide kill potential in a fight. These champions only require that you build one or two offensive items and then can build entirely tanky afterward without much loss of damage. Irelia, in particular, has a built in sustain that when she is last hitting and attacking effectively, she can rebuild her health back to full.
Mages like Orianna, Ziggs, or LIssandra can provide you with a safe alternative from the ranged, ability power driven category and teach you things like lane positioning and playing safe while you last hit your minions. They all have a way of escaping a gank or shielding themselves from damage and can build into the Zhonya's Hourglass to give them more protection if the enemy team focuses on you.
Once you have learned champions like this, that's when you can start thinking about what role to main, what each role is expected to do, and work on the higher level tactics of the game. I would say, given the desperation in your post, that you need to start from step one and get back to the basics. That means that I would honestly suggest you play tons of games against the A.I. just to figure out what kind of champions interest you and what each of their skills can do. You don't want to be learning these kinds of things on the fly in a normal game, as the punishment for your mistakes will be amplified more and more as the person you are laning against turns you inside out. Learn against the A.I. Learning new champions allows you to see what their skills do and can be helpful if someone picks that champion against you. Now you know what you are up against. This game is entirely about knowledge and the more you know, the better you can play this game effectively. Take your time building your skill level with the champions, as well as just the controls of the game.
Seeing that you're level 30 already, I know that you have some bit of experience with the game. Unfortunately, as with all games, once you reach max level in League, that's when the game really begins. That's when you start focusing on Runes and Masteries, team compositions, champion power spikes, split pushing, lane freezing, objective control, vision placement/denial, and about a thousand other concepts. Sure, you might have been learning bits and pieces on the way up, but now it's your key to survival if you want to get better. But it all starts with understanding what a Champion can and cannot do. Start small. Build our knowledge as quickly as you feel comfortable, but definitely start small.
Good luck in your climb.
Practice. Focus on specific things, whether it is a single champ or multiples be really focused on what specific parts of your game need to get better and just keep at it.If you're higher than your skill in terms of your mmr you will drop till it gets easier and then you will climb back up if you focus and practice.
