I play a few odd supports on regular basis. This is how the playstyle is for each of them
- Go full tank and max E first. He plays as a poke support by throwing minions (the 50% damage boost on minion throws is very strong so it works without building AP). Offers lots of utility with his CC, and can still get his W hp growth decently by farming cannon minions on
- I think someone mentioned him already, I like to think of him as a physical version of
. Very strong level 2 engage, if you can hit level 2 first, you can cheese the enemy with an all in for first blood. His passive gives him decent damage without building damage, and he has enough utility to go full tank and be useful.
- I don't really consider him a support, but rather a no cs roaming lane partner. Poke with Q, strong level 3 all in. Typically ganks mid when 6, but easy start a jungle gank by ulting behind the enemy when they push. Falls off at lategame though, but can maximise usefulness by going tanky midgame.
- Some say he's a "conventional" support, yet he's not seen much. His Q offers sustain and/or poke, he has an initiate (bait ult or flash AoE taunt), and his ult synergizes with
+
. Downside is that he is not naturally tanky, so a support budget actually hurts him to some extent.
- People dodge when I try this, and I don't blame them. I haven't had enough successful games... yet... she feels... quite promising as a support. Take your typical ADC setup, start with
. Poke with W and save your passive crit to poke even more. Very good lane to gank for the jungler, if you're good with your arrow. Ahhh, now that explains why I do badly.
