How to get better as ADC?

My ADC is Bronze 5. Like I really suck. The only ADC I can play decently is Caitlyn.

Anyone have any good advice? Maybe how you improved your own ADC?

1.) Understand what your champ is capable of and what his or her skills are. Know which skill is used for damage, utility, or just knowing which one would help you escape in tight situations.

2.) Last hitting on creeps makes a huge difference. It's all about the timing and patience so don't just auto attack a creep for the sake of attacking a creep.

3.) Play a champ you're comfortable with. Some are pretty straightforward, some are not, and it really depends on your playstyle.

4.) Pay attention to other lanes if you can. Map awareness is key.

5.) Pay attention to your team. If you think you are confident enough to kill let them know right away. Ping or type. If your jungler, support or other teammates feel ready the kills, make sure you're ready to back them up.

6.) As a carry your job is to do damage. Focus on items that will help you deal as much damage as you possible can in a short amount of time. If you're not fed, try to buy some defensive items as well.

This pretty much applies to other lanes as well, but usually ADCs depend on the team far too much, especially in early game when you have your support with you.

practice, and a lot of it. practice with vayne (reason is that vayne has a hard early game and the harder the practice, the easier it is to play easier champs) and the other adcs as well.

Go into a custom game and practice your Last Hitting.

Remember that you can harass the enemy ADC whenever they go to LH one of your minions as well.

If theyre trying to poke you, poke back. Never let them hit you without some consequence.

Pay attention to your support. You need to be aware of if they want to engage on an enemy, or be passive, so you need to follow their example.

Besides for basic laning techniques, which I advise that you have covered first, here are some tips:

  1. Be aware of your enemy's playstyle and kit. Whether or not they plan on zoning you with poke, picking you off when you're vulnerable, or staying back and playing it safe to let you wear yourself out, adjust your play style for what's appropriate. If they're greedy for CS or kills, bait them and punish them. If they are trying to push to tower too often, call your jungler. If their support leaves at inopportune times, zone them off and keep their ADC scared. So on and so forth.

  2. Don't be risky or overly aggressive. Especially against safer ADCs like Tristana, Caitlyn, or Ezreal. A good plan can go very wrong thanks to them outplaying the tiniest mistake. Tower dives are not a good idea if they have summoners.

  3. Be aware of their kit, items, summoner spells, etc. It becomes a lot easier to assert yourself if you know what they do and do not possess, even skills like CS trading and creep blocking.

  4. Creeps are your most useful ally during the laning phase. A ballsy trade can lead to loss because the one making it was being targeted by the creeps. Keep care to be aware of not only when their creeps are about to die, but yours as well. Use them to lessen damage from an enemy barrage, or stop it entirely. Kite melees by walking around creeps. Push them into the tower and let the enemy starve for CS. Freeze the wave and keep yourself in an optimal position.

  5. Never let yourself get out of position. Avoid split-pushing into enemy territory without a capable group. How many gap-closers do they have? How close do they have to be to use them? Will my team be able to peel them off before they get to me? Is there anyone missing from the fight that might be trying to flank me, or could be pivotal for my side's victory?

  6. Never stop dealing damage. Kite every opportunity. Poke if you have ample mana resources. Farm a jungle camp on your way to your destination. If a tank is coming your way, don't walk mindlessly toward their squishies, stutter-step anyone within range until you can choose a better target.

1 know how much damage your ADC can do, what are their strengths, and what are their weaknesses. 2 know your damage spikes. At what point in the game is your carry the strongest, what point are they the weakest. 3 itemization, know what items synergize the best with your ADCs kit, and what items you will need to counter your enemies defenses. 3. Play styles, know what kind of ADC you have and how to excel at their type. Twitch, after getting botrk and ghoetblade and out duel most champs in the game coming out of stealth with his ult. Looking for picks is key for his play style. Once vayne hits six she has a massive damage spike play aggressively, you will out trade your oppononet. Ezreal has hyper mobility and great poke. Stay outside your opponents range with your q until they are at 50% health then look to all in with a full eqwr combo. Setting up favorable trades/situations will help you build a lead or always come out on top. 4 snowballing. ADCs are typically weak early but monsters late, yet they all snowball relatively easy from early kills and getting an early bf. Be aggressive if you get a lead, it will help you carry the game easier. 5. Lastly know when you can and can't come out of an engage. It is important to follow up on plays that your team makes. But it isn't worth you dying, you're typically worth a lot of gold and ADCs murder towers. If you are dead if can be hard for your team to defend a siege or take advantage of a push opportunity.

Play every ADC and every support, most ADC's are bad because they don't know what the enemy champions are capable of. Plus everything listed above

For me, playing as an adc champ or for any champ for this matter you have to know what your champ does and your enemy laner does too. i main Twitch as my adc so hes really good for ambushes with his Q or for escapes and his E can do a lot of damage if he gets a lot of stacks on someone. what he lacks is a poking a ability or harass the other laner. if i was laning against Jinx i know i have to watch out for her stun gun, her flaming chompers and play a bit more passive. ADC can deal a lot of damage but armor can prevent that so watch what the enemy is building. if they're building MR because most of your team are AP champs focus on attack damage or attack speed (depending on your champ) if they do build armor get some armor pen like item 3071 or item 3035. other than that i really don't have anything else to say but to play a bit more and get better.
