To ADC by Support

We may be supports and companions while in lane, sure we buy wards and make sure we survive when ganked, sure we do stuns, heals, and etc etc. We don't necessarily have that much damage compared to other lanes. BUT that does not mean we can do everything for you. To all ADCs: if you're going to be at bot lane please have the decency to at least have our backs as well and have your eyes wide open.

Our map awareness may be a little sharper, but you also need map awareness as well. If your supports isn't in lane with you, don't be a hero and believe you can take on another adc and support all by yourself, unless you're hyper carrying and have much greater reflex. I can't stress enough how many times I pinged to you when I see someone going to bot lane and you're all alone pushing lane when you should be at least defending tower, buying your stuff, or when you have time help other lanes. I can't stress how many times I pinged you when there's another support or other champ ready to jump at you at this one little bush here and there. I can't stress enough how many times I have to TELL EVERYONE to back off when team is low in health.

I may be silver and not the BEST of everything, but at least I understand the consequences and our objectives when in game. I do my job when in lane. If you're super aggressive, I'll make sure you can be aggressive safely. If you're super passive, I'll make sure to help you get kills. BUT thats all I can do. I can't give you kills on a silver platter. You have to have a brain too. THINK WHEN YOU'RE IN LANE.

Best adcs are support mains.

I'm a support/mid main and a pretty crappy adc (mechanically). But I usually manage to do well in lane, because I know when and where to ward to help my support out and maintain vision, and I understand the limits of their champ. Especially the warding thing, though. Adcs who buy wards are the best adcs.

This attitude of resentment and derision towards Supports and Junglers is largely due to how the Support and Jungler roles interact with the others: The Jungler is expected to gank when needed, and the Support is expected to enable their team. To be fair, these are fairly big responsibilities, but as my match history can attest, the game can still be won if everyone on the team is at least mediocre overall at what they're doing. It's when one or more players are outright poor at what they do that a game is unwinnable, and because Top, Mid, and Carry are relatively simple to do well compared to the complexities of Support and/or Jungle, they are also simple to screw up.

Of course, nobody likes taking the blame, so when people do screw up, they tend to instead blame the next target down: The player whose help would have let them succeed, had they been better at doing their job. Again, being fair, Supports and Junglers can still screw up, and they are just as likely to pass the blame to the player who they would have been helping if they had been doing their jobs right.

Before anyone starts pointing fingers, look at how the match played out. How many tasks of their chosen role did a player fulfill? How many did they fail? Which ones did they succeed or fail at, in particular?

I main ADC, and I always compliment or thank my support if its possible (IE: not possible when we are all of a sudden facing the jungler after we just took out the bot lane duo and are low, sorry I cant type at the moment! :P). Ironically, the only times when I don't really like my support is when I'm playing with RL friends (but they are lv 30, so we get matched accordingly and I get stomped on). I also tend to play safe because I'm not that good, added to the fact that I play Quinn, who has short range and has to play safe accordingly. I do sometimes have a stupid moment or 2 when I try to tower dive and fail miserably -_-

This is probably been said so many times in the past but yeah.

It's really annoying when you have an ADC or someone in you're team who doesn't want to be aware of his or her surroundings and ends up being killed because he doesn't want to listen to others or doesn't want to pay attention to the map. In the end supports get blamed almost every time when we're trying to do our jobs.

The support helps the team, not babysit one specific champion for 20 to 30+ minutes a pop. I can't tell you how many times (50 at least) I've had an ADC rage at either me or the team because they themselves messed up (caught out, ignored pings, chased too far, etc). Some of them even quit during the game (most of them during the early game).

I've also had one complain about needing more vision. I can only place 4 wards (3 sight, 1 vision) and I've used them all, yet I have never seen the aforementioned ADC use their trinket at all, ever.

I just wanna ask why is there this circlejerk that a support main or whatever can't make mistakes and that the ADC main is at fault every single time? Who created that? I am just wondering.
