Camera Mechanics Help

I started playing league a few months ago. I recently started ranked, and would like to improve my game. I use wasd to control the camera. Does this put me at a disadvantage by using my keyboard, and not the mouse to control the camera? Would I play better if I got myself accustomed to using edge panning? I just feel like I have more control this way, but all of my high elo friends say that I am holding myself back because of this.

I want to be a high level player is there a best way to control the camera?

Do you use the keyboard shortup to lock and unlock your camera? That helps a lot, it's Y. but yeah, having too much going on in one space will screw you over badly.

I kinda need my fingers to press my abilities... typically found qwer and actives 1234 not adjusting the camera camera where are your abilities and actives anyway if W is occupied ;l if ur fast and comfortable with it, go ahead

I would practice panning. Being able to watch a fight while you are on your way can help you by knowing what abilities the enemies used. how much health they have, that kind of thing. If you are watching the map you don't get any of that info. You also get better ideas of where the enemy went.
