Why do I keep losing?

So I'm not the best player, I'm perfectly willing to admit that but for this entire season of ranked I've just been getting the worst strings of losses. I placed into silver 2 this season and during the first few matches I was doing fine, I was up for promotion into silver 1 but then ended up on a string of 8 losses straight that dropped me into silver 3 looking to get demoted again.

I've struggled and struggled to fight my way out of silver but every time I get promoted to silver 2 I end up losing a huge number of games in a row and getting demoted again.

Of my last 20 games, I've won 6, I have around a 30% win rate this season out of over 80 games played. This isn't normal right?

Silver is Hell, me and my friend barely got out of it and Gold has been much smoother. I believe you can make it to gold, My suggestion is to find a duo partner and both of you carry the games. Because you cannot be counting on your team in low elo.

(We used Leona and Mordekaiser, it was brutal on the enemy team)

Dude, in the same boat. Hit S3 not too long ago. I lost like 4 or 5 legit games in a row to some great competition that just outplayed us in a few good games. Great teamfights and these games could have gone either way. A few skillshots that would have landed right, maybe going with a tanky initiator over some of my picks, etc.

Suddenly........holy shit......past 10 or so games....

Trolls, raging insane freaks, people who have literally no idea what theyre doing and dive the entire enemy team REPEATEDLY. I carried myself from B5 -40 LP to S3 and never before have I seen shit like this. Now after an entire season I'm worried this current loss streak will take me back down to B5 lmao.

Anyway, others are suffering the same buddy, good luck :). I always say the best way to break a loss streak is more ranked!

yeah I'm going to go ahead and give you a useful reply.

  1. Read build guides. Stay on meta until you are very comfortable making slight tweaks based on preference and build style.

BotRK is mandatory on Vayne. Not after PD, not after whatever you were using BF Sword for.

You can look at guides on mobafire, that's a good starting point, problem is that it those are often written by plat noobs like myself. Better to compare builds on probuilds.

if it's an item that lots of pros get, like 90% of them, then consider it a core item on that champ.

Also idk why you get homeguards on everyone, that's kind of a situational item or even a 7th item.

.2. Get coaching.

Best to get coaching from someone two leagues above you (gold for bronze, plat for silver, diamond for gold etc) so find a plat Vi main and hit them up for tips.

.3. Watch streamers. Especially the ones who will commentate on what they're doing (a teaching streamer not a glory streamer) so you can get deeper into the theory behind their builds.

.4. Experiment with other champs in your favorite role. This way you might find a champ even more op and even not you understand them and their powerspikes/weaknesses better when facing them.

.5. If you are a jungler, ignore top lane completely and focus only mid, bot, and counter-jungling. Just tell your top lane first that they're on their own.

I see that you won your next two games immediately after making this thread. You're probably fine, you didn't suddenly get worse, it's just a random streak of losses. These happen...don't sweat it. You will have some easy games for a while since your MMR is now a little lower than it should be. A win streak is on the way.

In my opinion from my past experiences id stay take a couple day break or just play norms with a group of friends for a day or 2 and practice other champs to keep your mind focused on other things than losing! Sometimes you tilt even if you dont know it or feel it and your gameplay is majorly affected. Just remember there are some games you cant win and thats ok we all experience it! Just start playing to get better not to win it will take alot of pressure off of you. Take a look at your previous games and watch or think back of what happened and how you lost. Were you mid and bot lane got destroyed? You could maybe have roamed and saved them! Were you jungle and they got all the drags? Maybe get scuttles or ward around it more often! Almost everything has a solution just remember not every solution will fix it garunteed.
