Stuck in Bronze

Hey, I'm a support main stuck in bronze, I'd like some help learning what I need to do in order to NOT be bronze. I know how to provide good vision, I buy the upgraded trinket almost every game at level nine unless I'm support, in which case I buy sightstone and get the sweeper, I understand basic team comps (like "oh hey we scale better than they do into late game and we're more of an all in comp, so play passively until around 25 min and then go in all as one" kind of thing), and I try my best to criticize my teammates to tell them what they need to do, and I just can't get anywhere. I can't stand some of the people I play with, like an adc that refuses to help the jungler and I contest for dragon, allowing us to lose the dragon while the adc freefarms, only for the entire enemy team to collapse onto him after about a million "fall back" pings. I try to put the blame on myself so I don't look like every other bronze player, but I just can't seem to get anywhere. Any suggestions?

Edit: http://www.lolking.net/summoner/na/38878671 Here are my stats, I don't want to hide them.

EDIT 2: NEVER FUCKING TELL ME WHO TO PLAY EVER AGAIN I REFUSE TO PLAY ANNIE BOT LANE WITH IGNITE

Edit 3: I'm sorry for the misunderstandings that most likely caused all the downvotes and "ur mad cuz ur bads". I'm asking for one question to be answerd: What do players in higher elo do that bronze players do not do? Don't give me suggestions on how to utilize basic mechanics as that's the only thing I've received for telling anybody that I'm bronze and I want to do better. I understand my stats might not be the greatest but I want to learn that for my own self, and not right now. I want to see how these in-meta things are better than my concepts on playing the game, as it is the biggest teacher toward me as far as any information in this game goes. I want to ask you how I can play with a team better, not how I can provide my own statistical advantages over another player.

Not going to give you tips due to your rude behavior, but Go ahead and look at my Runes and masteries. Yours seem to be in a bad spot and thus arent ltting you play your champions to full potential.

Also every champion is usable. dont be that guy who lets his pride get in the way. You keep up your "I wouldnt DARE use those champions" attitude, and i promise you wont climb very high. as a support main i have gotten my hands dirty with some odd picks that were effective but i still did the job.

anyway look for the Runes that say (PROJECTNAUT, Tank, Ad Tank (usually my thrsh build), Caretaker/movement (bard)) i rarely use supports like Sona and janna because i enjoy getting into the enemies face and ruining their lives. i will play them if needed though.

I checked your account and I noticed a fell things:

  • You runepage setup terrible, if you are a support main runepages actualy are really important since you won't get a lot of combat effectiveness early.
  • AD page: AD quins, AD marks, Armor seals, MR glyphs
  • AP page: AP quins, Mpen marks, Health seals, CDR glyphs
  • Note: This are 2 standerd pages that are primary focussed on solo lanes. This won't give you an extra edge in lane.
  • Masteries
  • standard AP: 21-9-0
  • standard AD: 21-9-0
  • standard support: 0-9-21
  • support (annie, zyra, karma, ..): 9-0-21 (cdr)
  • Champion pool: With limited runes & champions I suggest you start playing these champions:
  • Top: Garen, Darius
  • Mid: Annie
  • Support: Annie
  • Jungle: Xin
  • Adc: Graves
  • Build, mostly situational but try this
  • item 3302 > item 2049 > item 3117
  • item 3301 > item 2049 > item 3117
  • item 3303 > item 2049 > item 3117
    • vs dubble AP: item 3190 (item 3060 if their waveclear is primary AP)
    • vs heavy AD: item 3110 (item 3143 vs dubble crit)
    • good adc: item 3050
    • team lacks engage: item 3800
    • example build annie support (this is not traditional because the nature of a annie support): item 3303 item 2049 item 3117 item 3050 item 3060

Hope this helps

Supports can make or break games broham. Play one that has great impact like Leona or a lot of utility like Nami. Anyone can do it.

I feel you, I'm a Bronze support as well. I usually just play Annie and bot doesn't know what to do with themselves, I just don't play Ranked often so yeah~ :P

Carry bro. Play something that does damage and has cc to make picks. Morgana is a great example of an easy to play champ to carry from support. Take ignite, kill the bad guys. Learn how to roam effectively, find the best player on your team and get them fed. Drop wards in the enemy jungle, try to get your team to work together to counter jungle. Being an effective leader is key to climbing. Add me maybe I'll play with you later on my alt acct

Im not a pro at the game but I did get out of bronze playing nothing but support. again not even that good Im silver 3 but maybe I can help if you want. just add me in game. and yeah they are technically right about the runes and masteries and that carry supports are easier to carry yourself out but like i said easier. not impossible.

I understand wanting to build champions the way you want to but you should at least try the suggestions other people are giving you. They are giving you some fantastic advice and you're completely dismissing them.

There are reasons why high elo people build the way they do. You really think they haven't tried crazy stuff like iceborn gauntlet leona and figured out its not as efficient?

Don't follow the pros blindly but at least use their builds, runes and masteries as a guide. They are the pros for a reason.

In your game history I see pink ward trinket more commonly than sweepers. Buy pink wards, try to keep one in your inventory at all times. They're great for objectives, for clearing vision, and such. All around very useful items, and as a support you should have one down at all times, technically everyone should have one down at all times, but we can only expect so much out of low elo, I feel your pain.

You should play more you only have about 30 games. Voyboy (challanger one of the best yasuo players in NA) also had to play more than 60 games to get diamond (correct me if i am wrong) so even if you are pretty good you still need a lot of games to get higher. And you are slowly getting a higher tier.

dude to be honest you HAVE TO play carry roles. It is very difficult to climb maining support (I tried). Everything becomes luck based. You have to take action and win the games. Ever since i started play mid and adc, i was able to finally get out of bronze.

I made a huge post about how to go from bronze to plat in one season. You can click on my name and go to it if you would like. tldr; Just play ap heavy supports, annie, xerath, velkoz, etc.. Be the replacement for the mid lanner and just destroy bot lane. untill you hit like high gold to low plat bot lanes dont know how to handle a switch up in lane and just get destroyed.
