League of Legends Match History

in a pre-30 ( under level 30 ) game I just played I had a lot of fun but also a lot of struggle playing Nasus. It started as ( before you read any further I want you to know I am NOT complaining about my team, merely explaining what I feel happened in hopes of getting advice for similar situations ) I was top against a Shaco and managed to get about 500 stacks by the 30 minute mark. I thought I did a good job applying pressure ( drew their entire team to come and stop me on multiple occasions ( and was then owned by invisible shaco and twitch getting me from behind before Twisted Fate ulted in followed by an ulting Tahm with his buddy ) but my team seemed to think I was useless. After the first time their entire team ganked me I told my team to begin shoving as a group and in spite of my team's Sivir agreeing we had a lot of trouble getting the others to go along and thus our team was scattered. The experience made me wonder what specifically I myself needed to do better ( aside from learning not to stay so long in-lane ) and that is why I'm here.

Off the top of my head this is what I want to know: 1: What should my Q-stack goal be by the 20 minute mark? 2: How do I better play against a team filled with invisibility and/or global ultimates? 3: When do I rejoin my team and for how long do I stay with them? 4: Should I continue to force a lane and draw the other team to me ( given I was too strong to take solo pretty early on ) if my team continuously fails to start grouping to siege an objective? 5: What other advice, tips & tricks do you have for me?

  1. your goal for stacks should be anywhere from 300 to 600. i have seen 600, but that's very hard to get to at the 20 minute mark.

  2. vs invisibility, sweepers and pink wards.

  3. vs a global ult like tf, you can either go to the one with the global ult, or you can try to always be away of it. if the other team had shaco, twitch and tf as they did, just be aware that they could set up a trap vs you and you either want pink wards, see them somewhere else, or play fairly safe.

  4. nasus isn't too great at teamfights, so you either want to make sure your team is strong enough to win, or you are. if you don't have enough tank for example, other team will be able to kill you fairly fast. if you don't have many stacks, your team will need to do the damage, and nasus is still not the best tank you can get just for the peel. ideal, you either want to continue to split push safely, or you want to be strong enough that you hurt while being able to tank enough to get to people. you can only split push and that can work, unless they can send one person to defend and the others are destroying your team. it's better to just go back to defend for a while in a case like this, but not fight if your team isn't strong enough to win, unless you make up for the difference. (when you split push, try to avoid being caught and dying. you want to pressure and you can't do that when you die).

  5. as for any tip, i would say runes will help a lot. i know you aren't level 20 yet so that will have to wait for now. learn wave control so laning is easy and make sure you get the cs, even if you can't always stack it.

the times nasus fails is if the other team crushes your team too early on, or they have enough damage/cc to deal with you later on.

  1. your build. the merks were good, the bt wasn't. when you keep dying, you want more defence and the only two damage items you should really ever get is triforce or LW. triforce makes you go faster and gives a good damage boost. LW is better if they have a lot of armor and when you get enough stacks. if you don't have enough damage, stack more, the BT isn't needed. the iceborn is ok, you have a choice between iceborn and triforce and i would rather go with triforce most of the time, unless you really need to peel for your team because you don't have enough of an impact. the SV is great, gives health, mr, cooldowns, and increases the amount of lifesteal you get back on your passive. deadman's plate is ok, but i prefer a bit more tank, like randuins. the lower you live, the more impact you have remember.

  1. 100 stacks by 8 min, 300-400 by 20min, 600-700 by 30min. This depends on lane matchup, and how much cdr you're running in your runes and masteries.

  2. Ward everything. Watch the map a lot also, and make assumptions. If you're pushing second teir tower, and the rest of your team is in base, you're probably getting ganked.

  3. If TP's up, you can split and then TP for a fight. Otherwise, you typically want to stay close enough to be in a fight after you get to mid game.

  4. Make your team realize that's what you're doing. Drawing 4 people top is great, but if no one else on your team is doing anything, it's not worth it. Also look at how strong you are. IF you get an early lead on Nasus, you can typically 1v2 with ease.

  5. Sivir pairs amazingly with Nasus, she removes a lot of his weaknesses -- CDR. Max that on Nasus, as soon as possible.
