If this becomes a trend, we will be able to cheat Match Making

As we all know, pre-made teams are considered having advantages over solo-queue players:

  1. They get to play with their friends.
  2. They can create voice chat -> Their communication is better, so they can signal each other for engage-disengage, ganking, all in, etc.

Trade off: They're considered having advantages, so they have to be matched with higher skills players.

Why? Why do they not only get to play with their friends, but they also get advantages in communication?

Since Rito doesn't want to implement team voice chat, solo-queue players cannot communicate effectively through voice chat. What if you just want to play the game by yourself, but still want to make a voice chat session with your solo-queue team to improve your game. Here's how to do it:

  1. Everyone will have a voice chat account (could be skype/omegle/etc. or an application that's chosen by the community).
  2. In champion select, you have more than 60 secs. After calling lanes and roles, everyone submits their voice chat accounts.
  3. Proceed to create a voice chat session
  4. If this really becoms a trend, every solo-queue players will have a voice chat account and be able communicate effectively through voice chat. Pre-made team will ultimately be just friends playing with each other and there's no need to be matched with higher skill players.

Trade-off: If you do bad in game, prepare to hear about a bunch of 12 yo stranger kids claiming F yo mama every night.

Discuss.

I'm going to be frank.

I don't want a voice chat with random people. Most of them want to curse and drop ignorant an offensive terms in game; this community is.... not good with manners.

I basically don't even yolo queue any more, I even duo ranked. I have no desire to be insulted by someone for being human and making a mistake.

I also think Rito sees that as well, which is why they haven't made one. They're aware of the community problems; after all, they're making efforts to fix it.

Regardless of success of them, lets look at what they've done over the years.

Tribunal : While not perfect, being judged by your peers instead of someone you would never play with is a decent method of weeding out the peeps you'd never want to play with. Honor Badges : While not really providing a true benefit (since the badges aren't based on number over brief time, or anything like that, but based against everyone's numbers) it's still a way for players to tell others after game, "You really were nice to play with. Keep up the good work." Even a simple message like that can go a long way to bolstering confidence. LeaverBuster : Sadly, due to networking issues, this concept, while great on paper, is causing problems. What rito really needs to do is be able to tie the networking logs to the "quit" button, and have leaver buster programmed to look for highly increased ping right before quitting. If they could do that, and have it ignore the people that bail due to connection issues (whether they get back in or not), and just focus on the people that randomly RQ because they're losing, it would improve the system 10fold.

However, even with the flaws of the above systems, Riot IS aware of the community problems they have, and are constantly attempting to improve these items to give us more control of our community, and move more of the poison and the rotting cesspool with no manners and no social ability to get along with others.

I say, Bravo Riot, for both caring about the people that play your game, and noticing that introducing voice chat would be super hard to monitor with the current community.

This trend could have happened anytime since this game came out. It hasn't happened it won't happen. Most solo queue players won't go through the trouble...

There's this program called curse voice. I'm not sure what happened to it now but it injected itself into the league client and team players in champ select got connected to a voice server with other people with curse voice. It was in a free beta for a while and somewhat popular. It also had a few UI enhancements. However Riot soon updated their terms of use to say 3rd parties cannot modify the LoL experience in-game so the UI enhancements had to be removed (rightfully so, because otherwise a precedent would be set where eventually we would have to heavily mod our games to be competitive). Then it fell off my radar eventually; I never had it.

Even if random groups did start to regularly use voice random groups can't sort themselves into more preferable team roles/comps. Randoms have less time to sort themselves out and trust each other.

While it would be nice to have an optional voice chat system, even if the entire community got on board with the idea it would be pure chaos setting things up. Especially if we all got to use whatever chat program we wanted. And, as seen with Curse, the moment something catches on Riot will slash and burn it to death. We won't make you a voice system, BUT YOU ALSO CANT USE ANY ONE ELSESSSSSS

If we are to have a "voice chat", I rather have one with a optional button option to mute which players your want at any given time with extremely simple to access like say set next to champion picture on the right side of your screen. I mean if we have chat with a mute option we might as well have the same option in voice chat.
