Any Tips On How To Stop Tilt?

I am currently in the rank of Silver 5, about a month ago I was in Bronze 5 and was banned by Riot for toxic behaviour, however after I got my 2 week ban I learnt to not be toxic and got up to Silver 2 in about 2 weeks. However, recently I have started dropping and now am in Silver 5, I've won basically 3 in my last 20 games. I have 21 more losses then wins after I had gotten to my Silver 1 promos and I fear I will drop back to Bronze. Does anyone have any tips on how to stop tilt?

  1. Take breaks between games, win or lose but especially in losses.

  2. Realize League just a game and in the grand scheme of things it doesn't matter.

  3. Whether you admit it or not, you control your anger and if you get angry it's your choice, just decide not to get angry, admittedly it may not be easy but in the end you have the control.

  4. Reflect on your mistakes by using some kind of replay system, can't suggest any off the top of my head.

  5. Understand you're not going to win every game, some games are unwinnable but never stop doing your best.

  6. Remain calm, always have a positive attitude towards others, if someone is giving you trouble then mute them, they're not worth the effort.

  7. Being toxic never helps, telling someone they suck won't make them do better, instead try to provide constructive criticize in a polite way.

  8. Never give up :)

Uninstalling the game will do the trick ;) Lol! JK! But just relax and take a break from the game. Instead of grinding all friday night watch a movie or something and enjoy yourself outside the game and when you get back to it relax and don't be anxious. It might sound funny but also learning that even LCS players lose close to 50% of the games they play helps because losses come but the way to get better is not to get so annoyed by them but to keep trying to improve yourself.

My top 3 tips, (I know this exact feeling dude!)

  1. After losing a game, take a 15 minute break, go eat something, read, listen to music- take your mind off the game. You can do this after winning a game too, just pacing yourself. There's a lot of brain activity when playing a hardcore game of league and I'm no doctor but giving your mind a rest once in a while will save you some heat.

  2. Play some normals with a friend or two. Just tell yourself that it's just a game and nothing should be stopping you from not feeling 100% confident. If you can win 2-4 norms in a row, you should be ok to play a ranked.

  3. DUO!!! Grab a friend, play TOGETHER. It helps so much having someone on your side to help you out, also adding on to the team aspect that makes silver/bronze harder to climb.

Use a level? Never do construction without one.

This is how it works.

You care. The more you care, the more you try. You try real hard. You win while trying hard, it feels great. You lose while trying hard, it feels horrible. You try harder. You exasperate every victory and lose. You are playing ranked. Wins matter. Losses matter. Try hard, win a bit. Try hard, fail hard. Care less, play more.

Or don't play ranked. Don't use a system you have no control over dictate and tell you what your skill level. Your skill is not the same as your team's skill. Bad players can be carried by their teams, and good players can be held back by their teams. Ranked matches in a team based game are misleading.

I wrote this, on how to improve, it briefly mentions tilting http://boards.eune.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/champions-gameplay-en/mr8E2Vxb-a-guide-to-understanding-the-dynamics-of-bot-lane

In it there are 2 different links, this is for how to deal with a toxic team mate. http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/miscellaneous/EOBKEEOY

And this explains the brain chemistry of tilting, and mental skills you need to acquire. http://forums.euw.leagueoflegends.com/board/showthread.php?t=1036286

Just try not to think about it too much. Listen to music while playing, play normal games, take breaks. You can even try different champions and different roles to mix things up. Aside from that, just don't give up is all I can tell you. I've been on worse loss streaks of 30+. I was trying REALLY hard and just kept loosing. Then there were times I just couldn't stop winning.

I realise that it is just a game and I do not rage anymore, after Riot had banned me because I am more conscious of what I say as to not get banned again. I do not speak much in games unless I call for an objective. I have taken breaks even a few days break which is already a pain considering league is such an addictive game. And yes I also do mute people who are being extremely toxic just because they feel that others are worse than them.

Like most people mentioned, it is always important to take a break. I am like you so I can't really break away from this addicting game so I personally like to go watch a stream on twitch. It give you a chance to see on what they do different and reflect on how you could play better. Or watch Voyboy feed, that is always great because he has so much fun doing it lol.

i good rule of thumb i use is to, after i lose 2 ranked games in a single day, stop playing ranked games for that day. Losing two games that 'matter' can easily put you in an attitude that makes it harder to win.
