How can I learn to kite?

I can play all roles well except bot lane. I cant kite effectively without severely lowering my dps. It's a big part of adc, but I just cant do it, and learning it is way too difficult for me, because I get frustrated easily. How can I learn to kite? i dont have, and cant buy kalista, dont suggest playing her.

Practice and use attack move binding.

Go in custom or any game and practice Auto attack animation canceling. Click on the enemy (Auto attack) and then click behind your character to take a step backward. During the time you would normally still be doing the attack animation, you can move slightly. As long as the projectile leaves your character before you click away it will still hit them. This also goes for chasing; except you take a step forward. Doing this let's you get more hits in on enemies running away. Perfect animation canceling will let you land more attacks then you would otherwise or let you land more attacks while staying out of melee range (kiting). You might notice you end up canceling the attack completely as well. It's called orb walking and takes a long time to master, but you don't have to do it perfect for it to be effective. Once you have more attack speed you can do it even better, but it is also harder to do it perfectly the faster you attack.

Well, This is basically just click the enemy and quickly click behind you after the projectile is fired. If you click away to early, the projectile won't fire (attack speed makes this easier to avoid) and clicking too late causes idle standing time.

If you play a particular champion a lot, you'll get a good feel for when the projectile is launched, and can Kite better.

Kalista is an excellent example of how this works, but in a different way. Instead of cancelling the attack, you can just choose where to leap. So, while Orb Walking is impossible on her, she can still make up the distance with her leap. This can help you get in the cadence of clicking an enemy and clicking where you want to go in a short window of time. Ashe is also a good example of learning how to Kite, simply because she slows the enemy on basic attacks.

Key bindings really help. I set my mouse buttons up so my left click is attack move and my right click is normal move. This really helps my kiting because I just alternate left and right mouse button clicks between attacks. It takes a while to get used to but I like it. Here's a link on how to set up your key bindings this way.

Practice makes perfect. You can try key bindings but I don't like them.
