Vs Heimer top?

So I just got wrecked as Kennen vs Heimer top. It's not a great match up, but you can clear turrets somewhat and I was hoping to bring more utility to team fights and use tp better. I know how Heimer plays so I thought I'd do better (Heimer main), but I'm curious, what do people recommend against heimer top since it's not a match up I'll get to play a ton, and I will always be on something other than my most comfortable champ when I do play it?

I was thinking maybe morg, sine the nerf to pool hurts a little, but she still can work top and she can clear wave while still removing turrets? it's the best I can come up with while looking at the champs I own, but I'd definitely pick up a top lane that works against him since it would be nice to not just feel like it sucks because my main was picked on the other team. (I figure morg in part bc I'm silver so heimers are often bad at my elo and might not adjust to the pool radius and let me either kill minions and turrets together, or kill multiple turrets w/ one pool)

I typically pick Garen against Heimer. He can survive Heimer's poke and is tanky enough to all in when the jungler comes up without having to focus the turrets first.

Now I'm not necessarily suggesting Garen as a good choice for you, I would simply suggest looking for champions that can survive the poke and all in Heimer while ignoring turrets. Garen is simply a fair choice if you would prefer the tanky route. Cho'Gath would be someone I actually recommend for learning this sort of matchup.

Consider getting a Doran's Shield if you're going top. It drastically cuts the turrets base damage until he gets a few ranks in them (not the laser though).
