A few tips on getting out of Silver.
Hey summoners! I've been a Silver scrub for plenty of years. I found myself back in this very challenging league once again, so I'm going to share some of the things I did last season to escape Silver and shoot my way to Gold 1.

Don't spam chat with useless information. Everyone is playing ranked to win, not to socialize. The higher the elo, the less clutter there is in chat. The only thing you should use it for is to share vital information with your jungler like
timers. Both have a 5 minute cool down so look at the time and add 5 minutes. If Annie flashed then say, "Annie 2015 or Annie flash 2015". -
Don't pick champions you're not too familiar with. A lot of Silver players like to pick random champions they own, but have not mastered. This is basically rolling the dice and hoping the other lanes do well and carry you. Pick a champion you're really good with and understand when their power spikes come through. If you don't really know when your champions gets a big spike, don't pick them.
-
If your lane partner is inexperienced, don't put to much expectations on them. Play it safe or communicate with them whether you want to play passive or aggressive.
-
Many Silver players prioritize damage over CS. When a minion is low on HP, focus on executing that minion. You can punish someone for being out of position after you last hit, not before.
-
Understand your team's strengths and weaknesses. This applies in champion select. If the enemy first picked Katarina, don't pick Mundo top. Ranked is set up as a draft to allow players to counter certain strategies and even create their own.

Take
top. I lose nearly every game that our top laner doesn't take this summoner spell, because they prefer to kill the lane enemy instead of help bot or contest dragon. -
Ignore the toxic players. If someone is raging at you, DONT mute them. Ignoring them is better. Later on in the match that player might give you vital information like a flash timer or dragon respawn time.
Those are some general tips. If you have any questions I'll gladly answer them!
