How do you keep up communication and comeback from deficits and/or when things go wrong?

This is just a question to see if I can get some more insight from others that may have some more insight on the subject. But one of the hardest things that I notice for the team I play for is that when we fall behind our communication like shuts down and we almost just fall apart because me and the jungler will cease shot calling and the comm's get almost silent until the game gets progressively gets worse till the point of where we loose the game. So my point is what is the best way to make sure we hold on to our leads not throwing them? If we get behind how do we keep ourselves together not falling apart in communication? If we do get behind what are some of the different things that we can do to get back into the game?

It's mostly as easy as not jumping all over your teams mistakes. Most of the time when someone says "Man I'm playing bad" and you respond with "Hey, it happens no sweat" Later in the game when you say we need to teamfight/ward/objective or I'm gonna split people will listen to you. If they're raging I just ignore them and say things that are relevant to what's going on. Not much else you can do about that except not engage them in the ranting/raging.

most of the time my team is on edge so i find it best not to say anything sometimes we keep communication and are able to make a comeback and every once in a while i get that team that doesn't need to say anything and we just sort of do things as one with nothing but trust holding us together

Be super nice in the champion selection lobby. Be especially nice to your jungler if you aren't the jungler. Make jokes if you are creative. Or if you're not creative just use "Gragas is so fat" jokes. An example of this is "Gragas is so fat he takes utility masteries just for the biscuit."

Now after doing this when stuff starts falling apart just keep your allies off past mistakes and away from each other's throats. Say your top laner died due to a gank. While he is sulking about how he died tell him its ok and inform him that dragon will be up in the next minute and you need his assistance in taking it or that one enemy tower is super low so if he can teleport in and siege the objective with the team that would be great. Keep them thinking proactively.

And when you have in team fighting tell them that arguing won't solve these problems and that the real problem is the enemy team. Formulate a plan that includes both arguing parties and see the plan through. If it works, great. Praise your teammates for a job well done. If it failed take responsibility for it and ask if anyone else has a plan you guys can pull off. Just keep focused on always having a plan of action. Don't indulge toxic teammates when they rage at one another. If it becomes that much of a problem just remind them "It would feel more rewarding if you exercised your pent up rage on the enemy team not your teammates. Go kill so-and-so. They're low and you'll feel better after you did this."
